I am playing with a bunch of mods I installed from several sources. (mostly CurseForge). I believe I have around 184 mods.. My computer has recently gotten a major upgrade to graphics, so I can play my game without ANY fps drop even with VERY high level quality shaders...
What I have noticed is that even though my game runs very well when I am actually playing. It takes almost ten minutes for Minecraft to even start up.. (that is.. to get to the main menu after hitting PLAY.)
I do get a period of Forge seeming to freeze up when loading the Model manager. and that is what causes the long load time.
I have a good GPU for playing minecraft and 32GB of RAM for my entire computer, of which I have allocated 4GB to Minecraft.
I also run the latest Java 8, and my Operating System is Windows 10.
I just need to have a good way to reduce loading time for my mods.
Before all of this happened, I was playing Minecraft just fine. I had not downloaded any new mods or anything. then all of a sudden when i switch from playing vanilla 1.12.1 back to playing modded 1.12.2, I can no longer create new worlds.
I am always stuck on the "Loading World" screen. The only way to close the game is through Alt+Tab and closing the game in task manager.
There was a world that I could load up fine, but shortly after playing that world I would freeze and then crash.
Resource packs are version specific, and you'll likely need to remake it for 1.12, and almost certainly for 1.13 (because that promises a lot of technical changes).
Unfortunately for you, that is the way things are, and will probably apply to future versions as well.
I would encourage you to consider the "Creative Commons" licencing, which allows you to publish your music while retaining the rights - in particular, "CC By SA" means a licence where people can copy your music, for any purpose, as long as they say where it came from and include the same conditions on future copies.
Thanks for the licensing information.
Unfortunately, the link you provided does not include a tutorial on custom music in resource packs for the current version. (it doesn't mention music at all) I'm going to look into the folder structure of resources in 1.12.1 and see what I can do from there.
I am a very passionate musician, and I would like to be able to play my own music in minecraft via resource pack.
I already know how to do this in versions 1.7.10 - 1.10.2, with Json files. The Problem is, when I move UP a version (like 1.11 - 1.12.2), These custom background tracks do not play anymore, and will always fall back to the regular minecraft music.
In saying that, I DO NOT intend to replace any original minecraft music. I only want to add my own.
I have made sure that all of my files have been named in lowercase letters, and that my Json file has no syntax errors. The only thing that I can think of is that the actual structure of resource packs has changed again since 1.11, and that the structure I am using no longer exists.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I do intend on distributing my music pack, provided that nobody will steal the music. (because all the music is my work, and would like proper recognition for creating it.)
I do not like when the TV show finally comes to a close.. because I always want more!
(this next one pertains more to cartoons) I also don't like randomness with no meaning or purpose. I would like to have an episode that continues the story of the last one.
Question. Would it be possible to add some kind of API to let modders (like myself) make their own dimensions and travel to them in Futurepack Spaceships?
I would really like to visit more than 2 planets, and I thought.. wouldn't it be cool if I made one?
