Jun 20, 2013Greatone123 posted a message on Community Creations - "Pirate Bay" With Ugocraft!I downloaded the mod and played with it a bit, definitely can't wait for it to be a bit more polished. Endless possibilities for sure. Haven't tried adding more mods with it, just using forge and this so far.Posted in: News

Greetings all, I've been working on a mad pack and had an idea, but can't seem to find a mod that fits the bill.
To me it sounds simple, but always does from the outside. The idea is, if it rains, turn flowing water (non source) into a source block. Does NOT create source blocks unless there is water flowing already.
This combined with Mods that make water finite would make things more realistic and at the same time help replenish water sources etc.
Could dige out rivers, leave one source block, let the rain fill the river for you, I think it would be great.
It can be optional in config, but I wouldn't want the flooding aspect just cause that's not what I'm looking for, depending on how it functioned... 🤔

Actually, could you change it so it's not invisible, and make it to where it's can be broken? This will give the player an opportunity to break it if they choose? (as long as it doesn't allow them to move it)
Would be a way to "reset" if they chose to.
This stuff gets really detailed, I wasn't aware there were so many possibilities.
Does this effect bed spawn?
Edit: Nvm that would mess with the spawn distance part.

I made a thread about it earlier, but if you're interested maybe?
I'm asking for a random spawn mod. X=min distance from spawn Y=min distance from other player spawns.
Void Island Control doesn't work outside the void world, and I can't use BOP or any other mod that has a world type.
The /spreadplayers command doesn't set the player spawns, so if they die before making a bed, they go back to the world spawn. (Also I don't know if this command would work if the other players on the server are offline)
This is for a forge 1.12.2 server I'm working on, survival based and I don't want players starting near each other, making contact between them harder.

It won't stop destroying my text when I edit the post.
Here is the post.

I made a post in the mod section, but then I found out about more... detailed? commands. I was advised to post here and see if someone might be able to help me a bit further.

They responded with:
OK, so I know what you can do. First, you need a scoreboard objective of the dummy type to act as a form of memory.
/scoreboard objectives add spawning dummy
The next step involves a four block command chain, (one blue, followed by four greens, all always active, the greens set to conditional)
First (blue)
/execute @p[score_spawning=0] /spreadplayers <x> <z> <spreadDistance> <maxRange>
This will spread anyone who joins, when they join.
Second (green)
/execute @p[score_spawning=0] /scoreboard players add @s spawning 1
This will keep them from being bounced all over the map.
Third
/execute @p[score_spawning=1] /spawnpoint
This will set the player's spawn.
Fourth
/execute @p[score_spawning=1] /scoreboard players add @s spawning 1
To keep their spawnpoint in that one place.
The only issue they came across might be players spawn overlapping, so they said to post here might get someone that knows more about it.

Wow, alright, I'll see if I can set that up. Thanks for taking the time to do that.

You can use the commands that are on the wiki to disable each map you don't want.

is the port open on the firewall of the PC?

Issues have been resolved, moral of the story is: if it's not broke, don't touch my damn network. ISP was working near by, decided it would be good idea to check things and do general maintenance. Well when checking the line at the termination point, they redid the connection... WRONG.
Everything should be back to normal once the DNS has resolved.

I like seeing the server/thread getting some action. I'm glad you've found someone to help out too.

I'm not 100% sure if it will work or not since I don't use the exe but at the end of the target bot add: -Xmx1024M (change the 1024 to however many MB of ram you want it to try and use.) If that doesn't work, I suggest looking up how to start a MC server using the .jar file. You can use the jar even on windows, just need to create a bat file to run it. There are plenty of tutorials on how to do it.

I believe that's the issue, he's not using a bat file, he's just opening the exe and running with it.

Sure, I don't want them to come to mine. Sometimes the items are too big to throw in a car and meet somewhere.
