The lack of replies should indicate this isn't an original idea. My suggestion is to stop spamming, create a truly unique idea or to even greatly revise this post. Otherwise, I personally would never sponsor you. As another tip, bumping your post every few hours show impatience to truly care about what the host(s) is(are) offering.

Hello, I would love for you to get your facts straight before posting here, posting comments like this to try and bring us down and to attempt to stop our company growing is highly immature, we as a company are proud to claim the fact that all of our clients are happy with the service we provide, despite you threatening to DDoS our servers (Which he has got no idea what datacentre we use) and claiming you know everything about a company from first glance shows how "professional" you are. So considering them facts, you are a minor problem to the company and we would love for you to stop coming onto our livechat and harassing the company and the employees of the company.

    Thanks,

    James S - AlternateHosting.

Would you mind providing specific chat logs where I "threaten" to DDoS you? The only time I've been on your website was with the chat log provided here. Any other references you're making towards me are invalid as I do all of my research and know what I'm being provided as a service. More specifically to back track, if you look closely in your live chat software, you'd notice that both chats are from very distinct locations as I know my friend had personally gone on your website as well to see what they could dig up. Before you waltz right in and create false accusations, please, get your bloody facts straight. Now, on to my next point.

I do -in fact- know every little bit about your company. Quite frankly, I know more than I really should be able to know partially because your website is not, by any means, secure whether it be via SSL or some other form of security. If I truly wished to engage in illegal activities right now, your hardware would already have been offline several days ago when you threatened to ban me on client servers (which shows you're not professional) for merely asking simple questions. Still, you have not provided us, the Minecraft Forums community, with legitimate answers about your kiddie company as requested by myself, my friends, and many other possibly anonymous sources I don't know of at this exact point and time. Also, upon doing just a "bit" more research, you don't have all that many clients. Generally, hosts this early on don't, especially after I have say in that matter and can easily provide them with several reasons to choose a different host over you.

To wrap things up, yes, I am trying to bring this sham of a company down as I wish that people had done this for me when I was first getting into starting a server. Nobody should have to deal with a host who says all of the right things yet can't provide a single one of them. You are the same way. A host should be able to provide the client with the information they deserve instead of lying to that client when they go out and find it themselves. This company should be avoided in all possible circumstances as nobody needs to deal with the loss of data and players when you (AlternateHosting) go running off with your supposed "profit" in several months. I have a saying along the lines of "No matter what they say, they'll never truly provide it." and that applies directly towards you all.

If you'd like to correct yourself, send me a PM or even add me on Skype and we can chat a bit about this situation in private. Accuse me again, you'll find that this thread is reported as well as a drop in clients. I'm not some kid you can throw around like trash but nice try.

    Regards,
    Zach

A minecraft forum post has never made me laugh the S*** out of my self!
But in all seriousness I fully intend to test them to there limits. A full fledge review is coming!

Limits were tested, and limits were broken. On that same note, apparently one of my 30 Minecraft usernames has been banned when I never told them a single one. I find it quite cute.

I love the support. They were quite helpful when I was trying to ask for the specifications by threatening to ban me from all of the servers created by clients. Except, they were even better than that. Who would've thought? I then proceeded to ask several other times with different variations of that question because apparently, I don't know what a question is! Man, these guys are great. I first get threatened that they'll ruin their client's experience by banning me and anyone who goes against them as well as being corrected as to what is and isn't a question in their handy-dandy book of life's answers.

Don't believe a bloody thing I've said? I wouldn't but sadly it's quite true and can all be found here. Yea, I even made a little log and it won't come down until I've been given the answers we all deserve. It's a shame it had to end like that, but in the long run, it was worth it for the benefit of the Minecraft Forums community we have here. Justice will be served.

10/10: Would recommend this host to Satan.

    Regards,
    Zach

While they may think and state to their clients the reason BukGet does not work is the Mojang-Bukkit issue. I am here to correct how wrong they are. The only part of Bukkit that was taken down was Craft Bukkit and that was due to them using code they did not own. BukGet is an api made by bukkti devs and the plugins that run on bukkit are made by other coders (nothing to do with Mojang). If this hosting company was not so new in the market they would understand the reason Bukget does not work is due to the api on the multicraft being outdated. Even if you install the newest multicraft you still must update the Bukget API. I just did it yesterday on a vps and it works perfect.

Anyways good luck with hosting, next time before going and stating why something is not working maybe do a bit of work and see the issue is a 5 minute fix.

Are you just always a pain on these forums? Someone seems to hold a grudge.

Don't. On a serious note, seriously, don't do it. The market is already over saturated.

Hi, I believe your confused that we are a completely new firm and that we don't know what you're saying.

Thank you for the understanding in advance and have a nice day.

Well, I assume I can always go into more detail.

What I meant to say is that you're currently running another host which is doomed to fail due to your terrible past business venture. Now, you think you have the nerve to write a valid post describing what a host should have when you've never done it yourself? As Garthos' post above me states, you barely meet your own minimum requirements. Let's get on to business, shall we?

You previously owned the "company" McSteelHosting which, in fact, you can barely operate a business of your own. The first point I'd be making is the fact that you were using a sub-domain (http://mcsteelhosting.webs.com) provided by a free website builder. You claimed several times that you were currently in the process of buying a domain when not a single time were you truly doing so. Domains take 24 hours at a maximum to be purchase and provision for the client/buyer. Now, looking back at your posts, it seems that it took you much longer than that to receive a domain which never existed in the first place.

But it just seems to get better. When I made my original response (roughly 8 hours ago (from a mobile device)), I stated that you're getting back into hosting. You went to state that instead of coming back, you were a new face... or in your words, a "completely new firm". Now, that's quite false in the industry of hosting. Each business you create that isn't successful counts under the same branch as the ones before it. For instance, this is considered re-branding as both of your sales attempts have been Minecraft oriented, both have been under the same account, and both have been with the same intentions. I personally don't see how you can call this a new firm when that's not even the proper definition of the word. Alas, you continue to run this scam in denial and even went a step further to correct those who are wrong in your eyes when you haven't hit a single one of your points yet.

It get's quite better though from here. In your post above, you stated that there's only a few main things required to form a successful business. This is what I personally can prove to be very wrong. Over the course of several years, I've helped many different hosts who have had different success rates due to their actions. For instance, one went immediately for the best hardware at the most expensive pricing and failed in the matter of a few weeks. They had a great "infrastructure" as you claim everyone should have, but that's wrong on many levels. You need to be well rounded as a host and be prepared for every possible outcome, not just success.

To wrap things up in a timely manner, I'll hit one more point before ending off this post. You state it can take a quarter to a full years worth of efforts to make profit. This too can be proven wrong as, from past experience, many hosts I've aided broke even within the first month of opening. Odd? Not really if you know what you're doing. I myself have never gotten the chance to achieve that goal but in the same breath, I've never wished for it nor do I at any point in time.

As a note to possible viewers/reader's of Ricky's post, I do recommend not taking his advice as it is quite wrong. If you truly want to run a successful business, it takes trial and error as well as personal research. Asking someone for all of the answers will leave you lost the moment they back out similar to what Ricky did in one of previous ventures. I wish any of those luck who deem it an enjoyable ride in this "industry" of sorts. If you have any concerns or comments you wish to speak of privately, feel free to PM me and I'll give you the best response I know how.

    Kindest Regards,
    Zach

Well, this seems to be the first actual review regarding the company from an actual client perspective. Now, I'm generally reluctant with using new hosts but this incidence is quite different. I actually have known Kevin for a little while now and when I heard he operated this company I knew it was safe to try. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with the service. The only issue I could state was with BukGet not being enabled then they explained to me it was a side effect of the entire Mojang-Bukkit issues. Things were cleared within a matter of minutes and I haven't had a problem since then. All I have left to say is that this is an amazing service for an affordable price.

    But are your cpu's overclocked?

Overclocking a server CPU is far from wise. Most hosts tend to stay away from it as generally it's unstable and can cause data loss.
