What I think he's trying to say, or at least what I feel like, is that everything feel less random and more fabricated now. There's no old-school "awe" like when you found a cool mountain area in any biome of the old generation. After your first few ravines, they get repetitive, you've seen it before. But in the old worlds, you got seeds like 404, which led into a huge cave system. It almost loses that feeling of discovery, and puts you into a zone of familiarity, with only a slight difference from map to map.
Just my $.02, and I could be completely off base here, but that's how I feel.
A background of my server I played on is basically that there are two towers, one at 1000, 1000, and one at -1000, -1000. Whoever's name is on the tower at 8 PM that day wins that day, and some form of prize.
The first day a friend and I tried it, it was about 7:50, when someone logged in on top of the tower. We were guarding it from a mini floating base nearby, and we tried shooting him off or into some lava we set up on top. While my friend distracted him, I dropped a water bucket down the backside, and went to try to scale the tower. He saw me coming up though, I hit him once, and he hit me all the way back down the tower, leaving me at half a heart. While I was scaling the tower, my friend was building a bridge across. The guy panicked and backed up, and probably fell about 1 block further than I did, and he died.
The other time, a friend of mine was on top of the tower guarding, while I was in our floating base. I was going back to the tower to destroy the bridge that led to the base, when two people managed to pillar their way up from the backside, unnoticed. They killed my friend, and would've been the only 2 on the tower if I wasn't destroying the bridge at the time. I knocked one into lava, and killed his friend while he was trying to put out his friend, who ended up burning in lava. We got the tower that night, too.
I put my ring finger on W, Pinky on shift, middle finger on E for my inventory, index finger on F for fog toggle spamming when I lag, and thumb on space.
What confuses me, is that it is using hardly any memory or CPU during the crashes, and the server itself does not disconnect. This leads me to believe that it is some kind of horrendous error in the coding... The Nether is extremely important, and worked absolutely fine a few days ago. There are also no corruption error messages, nor are there massive amounts of entities in any part of the server.
It's just... odd
I advise that no one does anything extremely important with large amounts of items for a while, or only transfer items and resources when the server is not going through a random "unstable" phase. Hopefully 1.0.1 fixes this.
EDIT: Whenever Yoshislayer or Luxure log in, the server crashes... interesting
Luxure's on TeamSpeak with me, he's as confused as me.
Hey there, just thought I'd mention that the server is lagging horribly. I think a good idea to prevent this from happening in the future would be to world guard the nether/end, as they just bring upon huge amounts of lag. Hope this idea is considered :tongue.gif:
The Nethers is kind of an important thing, for potions and such.
Yeah, Luxure and co. (You can feel free to call us "<3" from now on by the way, easier than getting all our names or just calling us "Luxure and friends") still needs our items transferred whenever we can.

The only ones of those that are set in stone for the most part are 1, 2, 4, 8, and 9. The rest are variable based on my laziness and the situation.

His mob trap might be a passive mob trap?
