When (if) this mod ever gets updated to a version of minecraft beyond 1.6, it would be extra awesome to have the ability to disable items/blocks via config that we do not want or use.

posted a message on I have a Problem with Not Enough Items NEI's search bar could anybody help me please.
This is happening to me. Everything was working just fine for the last 40 hours or so in this world and now - just now! - the search bar is not actually filtering results. The only thing that has corrected it is to delete the NEI folder in the save folder and load up again... but as noted before, this only works for about 10 minutes and then the issue is back.

(The search bar is not highlighted yellow, I do not have any windowed/full screen problems, all NEI options are on default, and as I said: I've been playing for the last week with this world and not had this problem until today)

The only thing I can think of is that I started building an AE2 network today. This could be a coincidence. Or not. Who knows.

Has anybody managed to get this to work with Applied Energistics 2 Certus Quartz Ore? Please, please share the config if you have got it to work. This inability to find the charged stuff is driving me ****ing bonkers.

    Quote from MCTalen»

Go and download JAS (Just Another Spawner) and then install it. You will see a folder added to your Config folder and JAS as pulled all of the spawn data from your mods and made its own files. To turn off any mob you go into the folder called EntityHandlers and you'll see that each mod has a config file. Open up the file for the mod you want to remove a creature/monster from and you'll see something like this:

Now as you can see here I have Creepers set to 'false' which means they do not spawn in my game, but MushroomCow is set to 'true' so it spawns normally. Just do the same for whatever mobs you want to remove from your game.

The blacklist in this mod did the trick nicely (and I can keep my mod count down... too many in my game screws up memory). Still, I appreciate the suggestion!

Well, turns out ZZZZZ Custom Configs has a mob blacklist. That did the trick for me: no more Nitro Creepers. Very, very, very sweet. Now I can finally enjoy this mod again.

edit: well, I had been having trouble figuring out how to properly enter the names for recipes but I got it (thanks to all the people who posted recipes, to the people who suggested fixes, and to the op, you all helped me and you don't even know it).

My question then is this: can I use the entity blacklist to stop Nitro Creepers from the Natura mod from spawning in the Nether?

(I don't want to dl Natura until I know I can keep those stupid mobs from spawning there)

So I just wasted (evidently) a ton of resources turning my 8 red hearts into heart containers. I put them on... and nothing happens.

    Am I missing something?

Nothing mysterious here. I opened the armor tab. I put the containers in the only slot in which they fit. I waited. I ate. I slept. Nothing happened. Tried them adding one at a time as well as the entire stack at once.

edit: right. Minecraft 1.7.10. TC version 1.6.0d40.1 (per the file name)

If I try to run Tinkers Construct with *any other* mod, I get errors. Here is an example with only Thaumcraft 4 and Witchery. If I run TConstruct with no other mods, I get no errors. Whenever I add any other mods I get plugin errors related
to stuff I have not ever in my life used in Minecraft.

Everything I use is the latest (forge: recommended for 1.7.10) and downloaded today (september 6, 2014) in the last couple of hours.

Minecraft 1.7.10. Mods folder contains: Mantle-mc1.7.10-0.3.1.jar; TConstruct_mc1.7.10_1.6.0d40.1.jar; Thaumcraft-1.7.10-4.2.0.1.jar; witchery-1.7.10-0.20.5.jar. There is also no other mods, no sub-folders, nothing else in mods.

I do not understand why this is reporting Waila since I never (ever) have (never ever ever) used or even downloaded it. When I try this with Project Red, I get an error about an IC2 plugin (again, have never, will never use).

    posted a message on NATURA
The past incarnation of this mod, the author was really, really, really (really!) against allowing us to disable specific mobs (like the Nitro Creeper).

Any chance there will be an option to allow us to disable, via config, the spawning of individual creatures?

I asked the old author once. He told me to use Passive Mode. Even though I was pretty specific about wanting to just disable nitro creepers. If you're going to deny this, just go ahead and say: "Not happening."

So, are staves not supposed to work on the arcane workbench? I'm trying to make a silverwood staff with thaumium caps, but the cost is LUDICROUS! I can only do it with my greatwood staff, but I can't put it in the wand thing. The silverwood wand only holds 100 vis, and using that on the workbench brings it to 110+!

I might be off the mark here but... are you wearing all the thaumaturge gear? You'll get a discount on vis cost if you are dressed appropriately.
