If carts still collided it may still work, but in order to make a cart move off of a cart hopper, you need the carts to collide...my only hope is pistons...maybe..but still, if you had ever been to my server, you would understand, this will kill the game for me.
Why not instead of RQing on the forums, you spend your time designing a new system?
you keep interpreting 'loss of features' as 'loss of bugged mechanics' like the boat-elevator.
also, yes, yes ive been in many beta-tests before. world of warcrafts various beta-tests, vindictus, rift. some more, but these are all i can remember right now.
listen, i know they fix bugs, but read my OP. they fix one bug, add ten. this is not acceptable. then they add 2 bugs, add 10. its just not supposed to happen in a beta (we all paid for!)
again, stop being an idiot and stop talking about the bugfixes. im fine with the fixed glitch boosters. i just dont like when fixing them adds ten bugs.
you cant clean up a room with a broom full of dirt. if you clean that little pile of dust, theres even more dirt afterwards.
Really? The problems MC has is completely unacceptable? Even though Notch will most likely fix them in a day or two?
What about when Vindi did an update, and you could hardly play with anyone else, after the official game release? Just wait a day or two, and he'll fix it.
STFU with the it's still in beta. Mojang can easily playtest their **** before releasing it and if they had a somewhat decent way of coding things into the game they wouldn't break as much things. Also things wouldn't break as much if they used a programming language that didn't crash when it finds the smallest programming error. Really Alpha is where you would expect game breaking errors to occur. In Beta the game is usually in a playable state, but some things may be buggy/may not work properly yet.
Stop defending this flawed mentality that Mojang is using to release updates. They should be releasing updates with stable code only. Currently they just release what they added so far when it reaches a certain point of progress regardless whether all of it is stable or not. Not only that but Mojang is tampering with things that aren't even broken. Really if it isn't an improvement to the game don't release it in an update......
Really? Name off games that you've played that were in Beta that was as playable as MineCraft is in Beta, or even in Alpha.
Have you even tried programming? I remember when I was messing around with C++ (I ended up dropping it because of my laziness) it took me a day or two to make a simple x2 script.
So please, stop crying because a Beta game has bugs.
Sort of. Friction between minecarts still exists, but it’s unreliable. In particular, a minecart passing a stationary minecart sometimes starts it and sometimes doesn’t. It looks as though the chances drop if the stationary minecart is standing on a powered rail segment, but I haven’t tested enough to be sure. Pretty much the worst of all worlds.
While I’m whining, I still want a stone-type detector rail! :-)
I agree with you. The one thing I didn't like about him removing the Booster Bug is that you can no longer have it detect whether or not the cart contains a person or not. I have high hopes though that he will make a wooden/stone variants of the detector track though.
I've been running around the MineCraft world and have yet to encounter any of these bugs anyone is talking about. I also have a constant 30 FPS (my computer isn't THAT great).
I'm also now running around using 303's mod that enables the Aether generation, and have yet to encounter any kind of bug whatsoever. come to think of it... I never run into any of the bugs....
Either way, stop raging because there's a bug in BETA. The whole point of a game being in Beta is to iron them out. So sit back, wait for an update, then continue playing.
QQmoarplox. That's why I started transferring all my Boosters to Booster Rails. I'm already working on more tricks that I can do now without having to rely upon the space-consuming Bug.
Having played both, I can say that while Minecraft and Terraria are based on the same concept....
I agree with the point you two are making, and am glad that you are one of the few people actually trying to communicate your ideas, instead of just saying, "NO NO NO! Turn it into 3D Terraria NAOO!!".
Pretty much what you just said, but if Minecraft takes 3 years to develop into something of a quality level that another game has already reached, wouldn't the other game be a better choice for now?..snip
Not at all. If you look at Terraria, you can see that it was a lot easier to code from scratch than MineCraft would've been. All of their content is just previous items, but with buffed stats. So they could take a pre-existing class, and just change the numbers for it, and then add a new skin for it. While in MineCraft, all the items Notch has been adding in are unique, and are setting the base for other items and content to be put in. (fixing the Nether, adding in Maps, they all prelude to other content). And the points previous people are making is true, the game (Terraria) is out. No matter what they call it, their content is basically finished being done. I have never seen Steam publish a game that is in Beta, Alpha, or otherwise before-release. MineCraft is still in the beginnings of Beta.
But if you'd rather play Terraria then MineCraft, go ahead and do that instead of lurking around here telling other people to abandon a game they enjoy playing.
You guys need to be more considerate of peoples opinions. This guy actually took the time to write out a well thought post about what he thinks should be changed and I still see the usual, "Stop whining", "Stop complaining", or "Troll".
Be more considerate will ya.
On topic, I agree with you, OP
I'll be considerate of people's opinions, as well as voice my own.
It gets sort of redundant when people don't read the replies made after the OP, because then they end up saying exactly the same thing as past people.
What if some people are newbs like me? D: Dungeons would be like hell for us then :[. To fix that problem, there should be a setting for how difficult dungeons could be :biggrin.gif:
There already is Difficulty in the game. Peaceful, Normal, Hard. And if you're to weak (as in the items you have in-game), then you probably shouldn't be going dungeon spelunking in the first place.
It would help if some of you people would bother to read the whole topic (including the posts following it), because a lot of you guys are just repeating what other people have said.
And stop comparing Terraria and MineCraft. The only thing they really share in common is their map generation. Beyond that, they're completely different. The crafting in both games is even different.
So please, try to come up with something unique other than, "MineCraft needs more content." We already know that, please don't forget that the game is in Beta and Terraria is a finished game. More content is coming. Instead of saying we need more, suggest some actual ideas, instead of saying to copy them from another game.

Leave MineCraft aloone!
But in all seriousness, people need to stop comparing the games. While they may share some similar parts, they are completely different games.
