Bait? Your referring to my last comment, right? I just assumed that you were gonna start an argument with me. Being a Christian, I knew that my knowledge on the subject of evolution would be brought into question. I was simply saving myself the time. If you don't wanna argue, that's fine. I did assume that the purpose of this thread was to state an opinion and then leave quietly with no arguments or such.

Conversations are banned on this forum. Any attempt to have one will get your warned with flaming, baiting or maybe trying to dodge the swear filter if they're feeling ill that day.

How is that ignorant? The Sword Art Online thing is truly just a matter of preference, and I was legitimately surprised when certain characters died. As for the religion thing, I really don't see a problem with that opinion. I'm just saying that both religions have very little to back them up, so why do we always have to argue about everything?

Before you ask, by the way, I have indeed extensively studied the theory of evolution.

You'll have to use better bait than that.

-Sword Art Online is amazing and not predictable or cliche

-I'm a Christian. Christianity states that there's some being somewhere that made the earth. Atheists believe that something exploded, creating the universe, and a fish turned into a human. Both of our beliefs are illogical and based on small amounts of evidence and proof. We aren't going to change each other's beliefs, so can we stop arguing and insulting each other?

Those are some ignorant opinions, there.

Really? What can your PC play? My $750 PC can play games from 2012 at recommended settings. Therefore, I assumed that, in order to play more recent games, I'd have to spend over $1000 on my PC. My apologies if I'm wrong on that.

    Everything I've thrown at it.

Lately been playing Elite: Dangerous, since Star Citizen is crap.

I have no idea what a modern benchmark would be, but I can do everything I want.

That's a matter of opinion. I would rather sit on a couch and play some Mario Kart and Smash Brothers than have massive online battles. In my mind, more joy comes from hanging out with your friends than enjoying a cinematic war online.

Blowing $1000 or more on a couple of consoles is insane, regardless of whether or not you have adult stuff to pay for. I don't think DrWeegee made a very good argument to prove his point. Spending thousands of dollars on gaming consoles is insane, but, if your already gonna spend that money on a PC, it no longer seems quite that bad.

I can see, however, that a PC would be much better than consoles for an adult who has to pay bills and such. If your gonna spend money on gaming, it makes much more sense to buy a laptop that you can pay your taxes on. However, for children and teenagers like myself, consoles make much more sense as they are designed for (mostly) the sole purpose of gaming.

I don't know why people keep spreading this "you have to spend thousands on a computer" crap. Every five years or so I spend a total of $450 getting new pieces.

Not even all-at-once. I couldn't afford that kind of thing on one check. I get a piece, wait months or a year, get another, wait months or a year.

That's what collecting things is for...

That was partially a joke, if you're into having things like Pokemon cards, it's nice to have them, but not if you're buying 20-30 packs just to get one specific card, or paying like... 50$ for a single Pikachu card.

Anyways, so with your logic, saving up for a car is wasting money? Ok.

I must admit, buying the next gen consoles for 500$ (Half of a thousand dollars) does seem like a waste, but I have never really cared for Microsoft/Sony's consoles. Although saving money for the consoles is not a waste. It helps build independence, an important life skill that you will have to use in life.

You're insane, but I suppose being a kid makes this seem logical to you.

I have to pay rent, utilities, food, gas, and then still have money left over for my college debt and whatever I happen to want to do that day, and you're trying to justify blowing $1k on two consoles and maybe one game because they're too crap to actually work well?

    Alright.

not sure if your trying to be sarcastic or have nothing to say for this "so-called disagreement"

Yeah man your solution is to waste money and claim that that's a positive thing.

staying with one console or pc only is pointless. the best way is to have every system never miss anything

    >The best way is to pay thousands of dollars

Yeah when your parents buy your consoles for you that sure is good advice.
