    Quote from Puredarkness

Laziness? Laziness?! What are you - I don't even. I highly doubt rewriting GUI code, converting every block to non-metadata, optimising the code, getting rid of numeric ids, unified item model rendering, and more, is LAZY?! Take this example of my MPI - I've not got a metric ton of class files for the amount of packages there are, but over the 7 months I've been working on my MPI, I've gone through lots of overhauls. Is the current product a result of laziness? Nope. I work on it occasionally when I have spare time, though, so it's not the most work that could be done on it. But, homework and going on my latest video rounds of Etho, Direwolf20, and other youtubers I'm interested in and check frequently.

    ON TOPIC:

Nope, it's not dead, it's just that Mojang have been working on internal rewrites and, in the case of Jeb, OCEAN CONTENT (Check Jeb's twitter)! And believe me, that takes time. I must have overhauled my aforementioned MPI, what, 5 times now?

The things Mojang is working on are useless. I dont care about numeric ids, gui code, and all these things that dont change absolutely nothing in the game. And if Mojang is optimazing the game, they are doing this very poorly, because I don't notice any diference. Apart from the recent ocean additions (which seem to be very nice), Minecraft hasn't received any Survival additions since half year ago. There was not a single time in its development history with fewer additions. If you compare the last year of updates with the previous ones, you will see Mojang is in fact getting lazy.

Minecraft is not dead. But it certainly is losing popularuty. This is probably because of Mojang's laziness in adding new things.

Minecraft is not dead. But it certainly has already reached its peak popularity. This is probably due to Mojang laziness in making new updates.

Of course Mojang is getting lazy. The latest snapshots had pretty much nothing useful in them. 1.8 is going to be the update that takes the most amount of time to be released, yet it will not contain very much additions.

    2- Shovel
    3- Sword
    4- Torch
    5- Bow
    6- Water bucket
    7- Steak
    8- Cobblestone or dirt
9- Ender pearls, axe or silk touch pickaxe

posted a message on What are good blocks for building a house?
I like to use acacia logs for the house structure, cobble and stone brick for the walls, spruce slabs for the floor, oak wood for the roof and black glass panes for the windows.

Plains with some nearby forests and extreme hills. It is a good terrain to build a base and get materials easily.

I think this is supposed to be a swamp house, but the terrain generation glitched and generated another type of strucutre. This is likely to be the same bug that generates pyramids in jungles.
