For the 1.7.2 version, do you mean it will break as in make unplayable, or just keep screwing up blocks built from this mod? AKA can I use it now and still expect my world to be playable?

Maybe. No guarantees the mod doesn't break your world completely due to some abstract bug that nobody has reported yet. It seems stableish right now, and all I can say is backup your world frequently.

In all seriousness, I really like the mod. You very clearly took some inspiration from railcraft, and honestly I didn't know it was a 3rd party addon until just recently. I thought it was another tinkers module, like mechworks. (that's a good thing.)

I'm not sure if this is a problem(I'm not mad) with Ex Nihilo but agrarian skies is the only time i've had this happen
•Nether Redstone Ore is giving me 16-32 dust and I got 3 stacks of ore from a reward bag, I have chests upon chests of it

    1. has absolutely nothing to do with ex nihilo/aliquo. At all.
    2. That's normal. Enjoy it.

God, I feel so stupid now :/

It seems 3 snow create another 6 snow, but those flattish ones, those would work right?

    Yes it should.

Aw , java is a bit different it seems. Thanks though!

The snow I'm using is the one that the Igneous Extruder makes, so I think I'm fine on that part. I placed ~12 snow blocks, so close :/
The igneous extruder doesn't make snow though... and even if you're talking about the glacial doohickey, it doesn't produce 'natural' snow. He's talking about the stuff that generates on the ground whenever it snows.

    Wait, feather+stick+flint=4 arrows, so....

I also have a recipe for 1 iron+1 stick+3 feathers = 16 arrows. Saves a bit on feathers and provides an alternative too mindless gravel breaking hoping it turns into flint. It also provides a way to get unlimited arrows without relying on skeletons and without an infinite source of gravel. On a vanilla skyblock for instance. I've had that recipe since beta 1.8.

Yeah that happens. Just use the IDs instead.

The hunger isn't the problem, it's the super-high saturation. If you eat eight of those bad boys in a row then you don't lose hunger again for a very long time. I was thinking something closer to the same or double the saturation of melon slices.

I don't know what the saturation of silkworms is at, but here's the list of vanilla values: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Food

I don't know about that. Melons have such crap saturation that it isn't worth it. I would make it more along the lines of an apple, personally.

But long-term, silkworms are entirely impractical. In order to maintain the food supply, you would have to every so often crook a bunch of leaves to get silkworms. This is annoying and

Hmm how do you use gunpowder and arrows from mob traps? Got chest of them lying around...

I always made gunpowder a furnace fuel and 9 arrows craft into an iron nugget.

I'm not sure this is correct. I have two crucibles set up in my Agrarian Skies world. One is over a source block, and the other is over flowing lava. (right next to the first) They're both working. They are also part of my cobble gen.

In direwolf20's Agrarian Skies series he and Pahimar talked about whether or not the crucibles had to be over a source block and Pahimar (I think it was him) said he'd checked and it didn't. Which is why I set mine up that way.
I was trying to say that a flowing block runs slower than a source block but I didn't convey that too well. :/ My bad.

So I finally got a full clay bucket of lava.

It is not going to the cobble generator; it is going to fuel that crucible :-). As stationary lava.

I'm around 92% certain that the crucible looks if the lava is a source block or not. So you should be able to make a cobblestone generator and power the crucible off of the same lava source. Just make sure the crucible is above the source, not the flowing bit.

Not to but in, but you could use a recipe changer mod to do that your self. The mod author has the right to set the recipes as they see fit, not all mod authors want to weigh down their mod with more recipes, because it can cause longer load times, and takes time to come up with good recipes for it.

Oh my god people. It's called a suggestion. It's what you do when you have an idea on how to possibly improve a mod without having the capability to do it yourself. Of course I can add the recipes myself. I'm FTB's minetweakerer. I know almost too well how to add custom recipes myself. I've been using custom recipe mods since beta 1.7.

Also notice that I never told the author to do anything. I didn't threaten anything or give any disrespect. You're making it sound like I was saying "Add this to your mod or ur gay." If you looked at my original post, it was most obviously a suggestion meant to help improve the mod. My second post was to defend my statement. Of course it's not my mod and never will be. I never claimed such. The mod author has every right to do to the mod as he pleases because it's his mod. Nobody has any right to tell him what to or not to put in it, but how will the mod ever improve without suggestions? My opinions? If the author said no that's not happening, then I'd back off or give one final argument, but in any case I would respect their wishes.

And your logic seems a bit flawed. The recipes I was suggesting would be rather simple to add. 5 minutes. 3 recipes. You could put in an if statement and copy-paste the other upgrade recipes but replace them with the other packs. And oh my god the load time increased by 50ms. Oh the humanity.

Sorry if I'm being abrasive, but I've had people just sweep away mu suggestion twice with lazy excuses like "just make the top tier and toss the old in lava" or "add it yourself". That's not the point of a suggestion. If people respond to suggestions like that, then mods are never going to improve much because there's only so much the author can do by himself. The community needs to help with suggestions and feedback. That's how mods grow.

A question, could you please add a config to adjust the chance of getting items while sieving stuff? I'm editing a modpack of one of my friends to make a much, MUCH harder version. I've disabled Ex Nihilo for now, mostly because when I tested the pack I wound up getting more metal from gravel than from actual ore blocks. For a pack that forces players to search around layer 30 just to find their first bit of iron, that's not good.

I would suggest either making the sieve crazy expensive or disabling it outright.

I believe that feature is categorized as wynaut.

Using void ages in a skyblocks makes sense.

For anything else? Needs instability, lots of it. Maybe seed decay blocks in the ground? The more ground, the more decay.
Like the world you start in has already dissolved and every other world you visit is either in the process of being eaten or are already gone. Sounds rather neat, actually.
