    I have no idea whatsoever if this will work, but you can try going into the biomesoplenty/biomegen.cfg and disabling all of the Nether biomes. That may cause a regular void nether to generate. If that doesn't work, then you will have to uninstall BOP.

    I forgot about the charm, but I agree. To make ethereal essence, it should be the primal charm, not the salis mundus. The bits of essence in the mana beans combine with the primal aspects of the charm, making an essence that, when used for node creation, can generate and contain any aspect.

    Where balance is concerned, I think the aura node recipe is fine the way it is. In order to get one node, you will need 64 mana beans and 8 primal charms, not to mention the aspects required. The fact that it's an infusion recipe means it can't be reliably automated, and makes the player have to work for the nodes. With a silverwood sapling, you have an infinite amount of nodes at your disposal, while only having to do infusion to get the node in a jar and for the sapling itself. After that, you can use crooks on the leaves and have easy access to all the nodes you could possibly need.

    Also note that the infusion recipe would (if possible) require aurum essences. You could not use any other wispy essence, as they would cause the node to become unstable and potentially create a rift in the fabric of the universe. This means that you can't farm wisps that spawn from nodes to get more nodes. You have to either make your own or get insanely lucky and find an aurum wisp.

    I have a suggestion for nodes. Since some people want to play without relying on anything beyond a tree and a block of dirt, I think you should have to get... creative.

    Now, let's talk salis mundus. It is a special substance that is crafted from either mana beans or ethereal essence, which make up aura nodes. Because of this, it isn't beyond reason that mana beans have traces of aura in them. I think you could figure out a way to extract this essence from the beans. However, since there is not much in a bean, you will need quite a bit of them to get a decent amount of aura. If you break apart 8 mana beans by detabalizing them with some salis mundus, (POC recipe would be 8 mana beans surrounding salis mundus and requiring a decent amount of perdito) then you get enough ethereal essence to gather into a stable form. Any less than that, and it just fades off into the atmosphere.

    Now that you have a way to get wispy essence, you can go about making an aura node. This process isn't easy, but if you're determined, it is possible. What you need to do is put the ethereal essence in a jar. But you can't do this in a normal crafting table, and even an arcane workbench won't do. You have to infuse them, so the essences go straight into the jar instead of stuffing them in and hoping for the best. This infusion costs 8 ethereal essence, one warded jar, and some aurum, fabrico, and some of each primal aspect. When this is complete, you should have yourself a brand new node in a jar.

    Keep in mind that mana beans can be farmed in taint biomes, and even if you have flux causing taint off, you can still make a tainting machine by causing the gaseous flux to go to a creeper, preferably poisoned, which will kill the creeper and replace it with a tainted creeper. When that tainted creeper explodes, it will leave a few blocks of taint biome behind. Once can also charge their wands off of monsters pretty easily with a mob trap.

    As for the ethereal essence recipe, I think it would make the purest form of ethereal essence one could get. It would craft an aurum ethereal essence.

    That's fine. I would be worried if you went through 8 crooks with no worms.

    The thing that sits at the heart of the skyblock experience and makes it unique and wonderful.. is scarcity. Automation of the sieve completely eliminates scarcity and kills the challenge. The autonomous activator combined with a sieve is far too cheap for what the two do. Jadedcat made the activator cost diamonds and emeralds in Agrarian Skies, and I am so glad that she did.

    I won't stop people from playing the way they want, but I'm not going to help out with this particular endeavor either. Creative Mode is the exact opposite of fun. Thats pretty much my mantra.

    After around 8 stacks, you get sick and tired of sieving stuff. I think sieve automation should be in the mod just for this reason. Now here's my idea on how to make it happen a bit more balanced:

    Input is available from any side but the bottom. If there is a hopper on the bottom of the sieve, then it will slowly sift through the material inside. By slowly, I mean 1 click per second or less. This should take a long time. When the sieve finishes with its items, it outputs directly to the hopper underneath. While automating in this fashion, you cannot click the sieve. At all. It just won't work. So in order to do this, you need some form of non-player input and a hopper to output. That's per sieve. With this method in place, it would take a lot of iron and a lot of space to get any usable amount of materials. It also means that you don't have to install another mod to automate sieves. One option to give sieve automation a bit more balance is to make an advanced sieve. This sieve would be rather pricey (I'm talking diamonds and/or emeralds here) but it would have a faster click cap, it would process materials faster when holding down right click (compared to normal sieve), and it would be the only sieve usable for the automation I just described. My idea for a recipe for this is:
    [iron, bars, iron]
    [diamond, bars, emerald]
    [iron, null, iron]

    The diamond and emerald can be in the opposite slot and the recipe would still work, and bars means iron bars. This recipe means you have to do a bit of manual sifting to get this small amount of automation. The advanced sieve also works as an upgrade to the old one you were using for manual resource production, which would mean getting another sieve that much quicker.

    Look at the bottom of the page... The whole site is a joke that does absolutely nothing. RAM is not a downloadable thing, RAM is a built in part of your computer which is possible to upgrade but it needs a RAM stick(not sure if that is the actual name) which is essentially a computer chip that you put into your computer(requires you to physically take your computer apart) and that will increase your RAM. Usually computers have a limit to how many RAM sticks(after a quick google search this is a correct term) that you can add on to your computer.

    Hope this clarifies things a little, or just counteracts a troll you were trying to play on someone.

I go to make water scaffolding, place the block that I wanted to, then as I was swimming up, I start falling again. I look, and to my horror, there is ice. There was nothing that I could do but fall to my death. The only thing I really lost was a clay bucket.

    Because the mod was meant to be used with custom maps. More specifically, skyblock. If I loaded up skyblock right now and the mod had the world type like you say, then the map would generate as if I was running vanilla because the map was created in vanilla minecraft. It uses the default worldgen stuff. With the config option, I don't have to worry about world generation because the mod will disable worldgen on every map I load up.

    Basically, the mod is intended to work with vanilla maps, as sort of a bridge between vanilla skyblock and modded minecraft. It can't do that very well if the map needs to be made for ex nihilo.
