I have 4 gigs of Kingston High Performance RAM plus a few gigs of ready boost...and yet my server says WARNING NOT ENOUGH RAM! seeing as its the only thing running and it says there is only 23% free memory use I'd like to raise the cap for how much it can use and never worry about the WARNING or any lag due to lack of RAM. Can anyone help?

Use the import button (shortcut ctrl-i I suppose) and open up McEdit schematics and the mob spawner folder. Then select the spawner of choice and place it. That works for me atleast.

You can place mob spawners with McEdit but I placed 1 in the open (in sunlight) and 1 in complete darkness. Then switched to single player and neither of them are doing anything :sad.gif:

Downloading and trying it right now. If you can place them in single you can just copy the map over to the multiplayer I hope this works. XD

Are you sure you're set in the admin group, or another group which is granted access to those commands? The "unknown command" response is normal for commands you don't have the proper permission to use.

Gore - are you set up in a group? Make sure you are set up as an admin. I know that on my private server I had mods unable to use any commands because I miss-typed their group assignment (oops).

In my groups.txt I have: admins:c:*:mods:2
In my Users.txt I have: Goreaddict:admins:2:c
In my ops.txt I have: Goreaddict

What else needs to be added or changed?

The problem is the mob spawner spawns pigs I hide 8 of them only to discover the city was suddenly filled tons of pigs. XD

I'm trying to build a city on my SMP server. The city is going to be only for Mobs so the players on my server can raid it etc. I have the city built all I need is Mob Spawners to hide throughout the place so a constant fresh supply of mobs is always there to guard the treasures I've hidden through out the city. I havn't discovered a mod yet that will allow me to just place mob spawners on the current version of the game. Can anyone help me?

Off topic(sorry)

I was just wondering why none of the commands work for me...There is no errors, my server works fine, the only plugin I have spawncontrol, and it works. But when ever I'm in game and I type something like '/spawnmob Zombie 1' it just says unknown command. I searched it and found nothing and I went through a few pages of posts (stopped once I realized there was 194 pages) and have found nothing. Can anyone help?

Thanks XD I guess that's why everything works perfectly now.

I leave my server up 24/7 and people can connect whenever. It works fine, however, if I'm not on it will let people connect then boot them after a few minutes. It says this:

[INFO] <name of character> lost connection: Internal exception: java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: recv failed

Also when I start the server software it says:

[WARNING] Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded?

It says that with no one online or anything and the system time hasn't changed.

System Specs:
Windows 7
2 Radeon 4870's cross fired
Wolfdale 3.0ghz dualcore
4 gigs of high performance Kingston ram
DFI lanparty dk x38 mobo
750 watt power supply

I have some power to throw around so I doubt that anything is being overloaded, and everything works fine as long as I'm playing too. I have port/forwarded my router for 25565 on the correct ip address, I have ran it without a firewall or any protection on my computer what so ever and still have had the same problems. So any suggestions? Any fixes in mind?
