I'm looking for a mod (and/or someone to maybe craft one for me). I want chest minecarts to load chunks, which I'm guessing means they need to be treated as entities. Goal is to have minecarts be able to travel long distances without the player. I'd imagine this is not a unique desire, so surely someone out there has done one. I did find EverCart here but I can't seem to get it to work in 1.8.
I am hosting an achievement race today at 6pm EST. The basic idea is that players are trying to be the first to accomplish each achievement and score points based on how fast. Here's the nitty gritty
1) Players start in a virgin world (except for starting bedrock room to prevent anyone getting a headstart) and have 2 hours amount of time to advance through the achievement tree as far as they can.
2) Scoring would work like this: With 10 players, the first person to get an achievement would get 10 pts, 2nd would get 9, and so on.
3) In addition, a random selection of other stats would be added to the scoring. Things like "most zombie kills" and "most depleted stone shovels" where pts are assigned in same manner (top player gets 10, 2nd gets 9, etc).
4) PVP, griefing, stealing allowed, though effectiveness may vary.
If you're interested, respond here or PM me with your IGN. I will send out Realm invites a little later in the afternoon (will be away from machine for next 2 hours. We will launch promptly at 6, whether everyone is there or not, so being a little early might be a good idea.
No official teams, alliances at your own risk (backstabbing and PVP allowed). I will send the invite on Saturday afternoon. You'll spawn in a bedrock chamber with windows I built at the initial spawn. At 6pm the bedrock comes down and the race begins!
No special items, you start from scratch. Consider it a test of your crafting skill.
