posted a message on Unused Potion Effects
Wow, there is no use for any of these "potion effects"...

    Stinky? Bland? Uninteresting?
What is this? Clearly not a good suggestion, my answer is obvious.

posted a message on Private chest
Firstly, you're adding diamond to a chest, which is clearly a waste of precious material.
It's so much easier to make a chest, and hide it, than use this method.

You stated that you wanted this to be a private chest, then you're allowing the person to toggle sharing or not... which one is it?

posted a message on Villages In Other Biomes
If possible, could you please explain why you think that villages ought to be confined?

    Quote from Deonyi

Villages ought to be confined to Plains and Tundra biomes and maybe Forests too.

    No Support.

I fully support this idea, additionally, what H_Man247 stated about their commonness with generation.

    Quote from H_Man247

I agree. Villages are very rare, and that is because they only spawn in 3 biomes (Jungle, Plains, Desert). If villages spawned in every biome, it would make the trading mechanic much easier, because villagers would be a less difficult to find resource. Now, my opinion is, even though villages can spawn in every biome, there shouldn't be a village in every single biome in your world. Sure, they should up the spawn rates a little bit, but villages shouldn't be ridiculously common. Anyways, this is a good idea.

posted a message on Water Mob: Stingray
Wow, overall a great suggestion and well detailed.

I like how it adds something to oceans and also has unique drops which could come in handy.
I do believe that the barb should have one use instead of two, especially when players carry them in bulk, to fight other players.

Regardless, you have my full support.

    Vague and over suggested.
Dislike the idea, having them spawn underwater and suck up water will create massive air pockets underneath the water, creating ugly holes and difficulty for boats to travel.

posted a message on Burnable Sugar Cane
Overall, I like the idea of being able to use Sugar Cane as a fuel source.

Instead of ruling out other ones, it simply adds one to the list, based on convenience.
The one thing I think you should clarify is how long is smelts for.

posted a message on Redstone Furnace
Another approach to this suggestion is the use of coal.By implementing redstone furnaces, regardless of smelt time, you eliminate one of the prime uses for coal in the game. Used throughout the game, coal has the primary use of:
    • Torches
    • Smelting
By implementing redstone furnaces, you have an unlimited supply of "coal", except in electricity.
Additionally, it rules out the renewable energy sources we currently have in the game, including:
    • Saplings
    • Logs
    • Planks
    • Sticks
    • Charcoal
    • Blaze Rods

I don't like this idea, it rules out one of the most simple yet needed ores in the game.

posted a message on Natural Disasters In Minecraft
I've seen this suggestion a couple times here and there and they all receive the same responses.
There's absolutely no need for natural disasters in Minecraft, whatsoever.

One of the more common reasons is because of the destruction of your house, farm, and general hard work.
Metal_Sonic covered it extremely well, and with examples too, and others just find this suggestion redundant and ignorant.

    Quote from mpd326

Tornado - A tornado could come flying in picking up all these blocks and throwing them everywhere. The tornado should look huge as well, to make you terrified and excited at the same time. It would be really cool seeing the aftermath of tornadoes.

Your house, over there, and over there, and over there, and over there. What a nice house you have, all over the place. Restricts people to live underground just to avoid these.

Tsunami - Say if you lived near an ocean. All the sudden a HUGE wave is coming right at you. What a tsunami would do is it would carry blocks with it tearing apart the land. If you were in it it would drown you. So basically a huge flood.

A sudden HUGE wave of water, coming RIGHT at you! This is unnecessary, both destroying the landscape around you, and displacing your hard work in an off chance you get hit by a wave. This forces people to live inland, and ignore the sights of the see. People who have the talent of building will be restricted, as they don't want their builds to be wrecked on the off chance there's a tsunami.

Earthquake - This would shake the land for a certain amount time while cracking blocks and destroying them. Maybe a mountain could tumble down? Say your in a building then the blocks would come down on you and start suffocating you.

You seem so unsure of your own suggestion, by stating what you think may happen during an earthquake in Minecraft. Mountains coming down, throwing blocks everywhere, destroying the landscape is, again, unneeded. Once more, builders and survivors are restricted to stay inland because of earthquakes, and even so, they can still damage you, wherever you are.

Volcano - A volcano would be pretty cool to have as well. Say a volcano is near you and it starts erupting. Lava blocks would shoot out of it and start landing everywhere setting things on fire. I would say this would happen rarely because it would get pretty annoying having lava everywhere.

Slightly worse than having a friend come and Flint and Steel or TNT your house. Random eruptions from mountains, destroying everything, lighting everything on fire...

These ideas would be great to have in minecraft. They could modify my ideas and maybe make them even better!

Though you say these ideas may be great, even you fail to explain how. You restrict people to live in certain areas, however, even those ares are affected, making, in effect, Minecraft inhabitable.

posted a message on Auto seed planter
I don't like this suggestion at all, regarding it as something planning to be implemented into the game itself, rather as a mod.

The purpose of farming is getting the full experience of creating your farm, planting the seeds and harvesting it, not having it done for you. Planting the seeds, working the aesthetics, making the farm just...work.

Sure, automatic farms are useful sometimes, but having auto-planting seeds is just lazy, and takes all the fun out of farming. Having seeds that plant themselves is not fun for anyone, as it takes a huge chunk of the game out for people, as well as makes the hoe completely useless.

posted a message on Better Paintings
Currently, I like the randomness you get when placing down the painting.
At the moment, the only thing that really determines what chance you might get, is the space you're placing the painting, and a little persistence never hurt.

This might work, however, and I'd love to see some concept images of the easel.

posted a message on Colored Bricks in Minecraft
In an honest opinion, I feel as if bricks should stay the color they are now.

Though the concept ideas are there and give me an idea of what they would look like, I don't particularly think having colored bricks is the best thing for building. The colors are a little off-putting and I don't think they'd be the greatest implementation.

    The_Island,

    Quote from Skylinerw

The correct tag is "Unbreakable". For example:

    /give @p diamond_sword 1 0 {Unbreakable:1}

Thus the item does not lose durability.

Regardless of the fact you may or may not have 200 weapons and tools, which is a way-off example, there already is a way to do this, therefore will have no need to add a gamerule into the game.
