Actually what I want to know is would I have to add the addSpawn code to each different NPC I want to have spawn in my world, or do I have to make a class that lists each NPC and randomly spawns them in the world, if you understand what I mean.
I am not sure if there has been a thread on this topic or not, but I am working on a mod that relies on the game to naturally spawning NPCs that have specific tasks. At the moment I don't care about the tasks part, just need to figure out how to get them to spawn as I have looked everywhere. Some assistance is greatly appreciated.
Ok to clarify the first 3 episodes are just me checking out the modpack, the 3 after that and from now on are me trying to conquer the hardcore mode quests and surviving. I do hope you all enjoy!!
I have posted some little things here and there about our new map, and finally we feel it is good enough to release to the public. This map is a multi level team based PVP map that we hope you all enjoy. Traps and danger await all that enter The Box
Please send me all your comments, feedback on the map, as well as any bugs/errors/crashes you experience while playing this.
This map is best played on a hosted server and no plugins are required for the map to work as intended, but if you find/create some that enhance it please do let me know.
The Box is 99.9% finished and all we need now are people to play test it for us and give us feedback. If you would like to host the map and have others play test it for us, please message me on here and let me know ASAP so we can get things going.

-We are currently working on making things easier for server admins so that they wont need mods to make the map work as intended no matter the size of the teams.
Teaser trailer is coming even sooner so we can show off more of the map. Also a walkthrough will be filmed so server admins will know how it all works and how they can change things based on the teams they want on the map.
Hey birdyduck and thank you for the feedback. The texture pack I was using when I took the pictures is the default game textures, I was only using a shaderpack to make it look better
Hey everyone I just want to let you all know that my team and I are creating a new PvP arena that we hope you all will not only like, but will host on your servers for PvP. Now this map is far from complete (3 weeks left in development) but I decided I wanted to give you all a taste of what we have done so far.
Before looking at the pics please keep in mind I used the SEUS shaders mod to make them look nice along with default textures.
It doesn't look like much on the outside....but looks are very deceiving.
Both teams have their own themed rooms to wait in before they embark on their quests for victory
The last and final room where both teams get a look at each other and shout their battle cries before descending down into the last area that will seal their fates.
This is just a small taste of whats to come.
More design features are going to be implemented within the next week, then map testing will hopefully get underway for another week or two so we can get feedback as to how the map is with players. If you would like to possibly be a part of that let us know when we get to that point as I will be updating this post the day testing will commence and we have that all set up.
Any questions or comments are more than welcome, and I will be posting updates, maybe more screenshots, a teaser trailer will be in the beginning stages of filming tomorrow, and after that a walkthrough video for server admins to get an idea of how to setup the spawns.
The universal question remains....."Whats in the box?"
March 10th update: The main arena portion of The Box is still being expanded on with more tunnels and interesting spots for pvp action. Also last week we held an internal test which I was told was very well received by all that participated. The teaser trailer is still being worked on, but I am waiting for the map to be closer to release so I can tease some of the main arena.
