I'm interested in joining this server, although I haven't played much Minecraft since the official release (1), so I hope there isn't too many new features that I'll get lost, but hopefully I'll get the gist of it rather quickly.
Out of curiosity, what is the average amount on players online?
I'm looking for a survival server, preferably one with factions, an economy, perhaps mcMMO, and aside from that, mostly Vanilla. I love PVP and faction raiding, having had successful, well-known factions across different servers.
3. What job do you apply for? Why? Plugin Developer, because I have a lot of experience in managing plugins, and have experience in the Java programming language, although fairly new to working with the Bukkit plugin framework, but I am doing it for the experience in learning to improve my skills and efficiency. I can create a plugin of any detail, although it may take a while depending on the magnitude of the plugin you wish for me to create. Like I said, I can't guarantee that I am the best for the job, but I am quite willing to give it my best.
4. Why should we choose you instead of someone else?: I am a friendly and hard working person, and not many people here seem to know how to write their own plugins.
5. Do you have the requirements for the job? Yes, I do. I have a basic to intermediate knowledge of plugin development, and can easily manage server plugins and modifications to meet requirements.
6. Do you swear to be helpful and not abuse of your power? Yes, I do indeed.

I'm looking for builders to create an RPG Server. What needs to be done is a Spawn, Towns, and 3 Faction Areas, such as a Castle, Undergroup base, or anything your heart desires. Needs to be kept medieval themed though.
SpoutCraft client is required. If you don't have it, you can download it from http://get.spout.org/
Post what you would like to build.
Hello everybody and welcome to the advertisement for SushiCraft.
How it works
Ok so this is somewhat RPG server. Let me start off by saying that you can't enchant items. You must buy enchants, however, you now don't lose levels. This is due to our "Heroes" plugin. There is a maximum of level 1000.
You start off as an Adventurer, and can choose a hero class by doing /hero paths
As you level, you will gain access to different spells which are unique to your class.
For example, a Summoner might summon a Blaze, or an Assassin might vanish and backstab an unsuspecting player.
Along with Heroes, we also have mcMMO. You can use these skills, repair your armour, gain acrobatics, or whatever you choose to do.
On top of that, we have Factions, allowing you to team up with fellow players and hunt in groups, go on raids, and whatnot.
Shops allow you to buy most blocks in the game, and you can gain money by killing monsters or players.
I was playing a server with pvp, factions, and such, and we raided and completely destroyed the co owners faction. The next day, he logs on, rages, and banned all 9 of us.
Another time we got banned for teleporting to people and killing them. Our appeal was simply stating that the player had to accept the teleport request.
Always on Hardcore, even when I am building things. I like challenges, and the adrenaline rush (?) I get when I see a Creeper coming up to me when I am building, and have no armour or weapons.
After reading this thread I started playing around and found that Java applications run slow on my PC and C++ ones run much faster.
If you wanted to use a C++ client, you would have to convert all of the Java bytecode into C++, and then optimize it. The reason Notch uses Java is because, unlike the C languages, it requires a "JVM", which is a Java Virtual Machine. This runs the actual program, whereas with C++, your Windows operating system runs the program.
Having it programmed in Java allows anyone with a JVM to play the game. Of course, Sun Microsystems could create a JVM for Xbox, but I highly doubt this will happen, and it would drastically reduce the intended performance of the game.
I personally use Linux as my primary operating system on my PC, so if the game were to be reprogrammed to C++, the only way I could run it is through a Virtual Machine, or maybe WINE.
C++ would be optimized for faster speeds and stability, although it would not cater for everyone who wishes to play. I hope this answers your questions.
