ya thanks well i did this at a late night so i didnt realy have time so ya thanks

See, I don't understand people who do this, if it was late at night and you didn't have time then why are you even writing this D:.

Anyway, I like the idea of a teleporting ghost wisp deep in the Nether, it could add a lot to the scariness of the Nether~

As long a mob are not confined to their own biomes I'm ok with this.

Why would you be against biome specific mobs? just out of curiosity , I think it would add a ton of variety to the game.

posted a message on Earthquakes - a way to renew finite resources
You could always have some sort of earthquake prevention system, maybe some sort of obsidian pillar placed inside a cave, and every block in a 100 (or more maybe?) block radius would be "stable" and thus unaffected by nearby earthquakes.

I quite like this idea, I think it'd be fun if you're peacefully mining away at vein of coal when suddenly, out of nowhere you hear a giant BOOOM sound, and your mine just collapsed on you :tongue.gif:

Oh, and maybe when a mine collapses, it doesn't just instantly kill you like sand or gravel would, but it would create a 2x2 area around you so you can start digging your way out of it.

This also works in protecting building and structures from earthquake, as you can just place the pillar under the building to keep it safe.

maybee for all the cactus blocks whould be turned into 1x1 crawling cactus things shooting weak spikes at you dmging 0.1 (if posible) and dmging if you just touch them once (when the crawler has shooted 10 spikes its wont hurt you anymore and are easy to kill) the reward whould be a normal catcus block. these whould be a annoyance but still harmless. when hit you whil be pushed back hard making it hard to deafet them whitout a bow.
they whould only be crawlers if its at a big sandy and sunny area, if its just some few cactus they whould be rare.
they whould be able to dig them selvf down to grow more if you leave. no matter what they can hurt you 0.1 just by bumbing into you whit some spikes back its whould dmg the normal 0.5
think on all these things into a basic enemy

please NO tl;dr its just means your not a forumer just a normal player in the forum

if you do then you may be the pig
    :Lava: :Lava: :Lava: :Lava: :Lava:
:Lava: :Lava: :Pig: :Lava: :Lava: :Notch: *says "i dont remember placing that pig there... well thats

    notthing LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL"*

Eh, I don't really like the idea of ALL cacti turning into monsters, I think it'd be better if these were a desert only creature, so if you wanna harvest cacti safely, you can go the safe but time consuming route of hunting them on beaches.
I prefer it if these weren't TOTALLY harmless, 0.1 of a heart is really little, and these things die in 1 hit, so they won't be too strong.
Most of the things you've mentioned are already in the OP, though, and I'm not really sure what the hell that last paragraph is supposed to be...?

    @lucain: thanks :>

I just had an extra idea.
These things have needles right?. They could do a one time attack that fires them out. giving them enough time to run off and eventually regrow them.

Omg! Fizzgig! Im off to watch the dark crystal.

O-O oh god, that sounds really awesome, I can just imagine them going into panic mode, exploding and thus knocking you back a few blocks and then running away D:, I'mma add it to the OP.

posted a message on New creature suggestion: Cactus Crawlers
@Qwill and ThePengu: When I suggested this, I was thinking of it being more of a "wtf just happened"-type of creature :tongue.gif:, not something you'd have to stock up on arrows and ham to fight, although it'd be pretty awesome if these were accompined by one large cactus-boss thing, heh.

@ThePengu: Well, since they only spawn in desert biomes I'm assuming cactus forests would be the norm :tongue.gif:, although, I do like the idea of them running away and growing into larger, more powerful cacti crawlers, perhaps if their number goes bellow 3, they'd go into panic mode and run away?

@weq150: Mind telling us why you don't like it? :ohmy.gif:

    Thanks for the support :>

posted a message on New creature suggestion: Cactus Crawlers
The Cactus Crawler is a monster I thought of seeing how cacti crumbles when you attack it.

Cactus Crawlers are a small 1x1 sized monsters, they'd spawn only in desert biomes in small groups of cactus plants with actual cactus plants spread out between them, before being attacked, the cactus crawlers would look like any other cacti, 3 blocks tall and useless, but after being attacked their true selves show and by doing that they also cause any cactus crawler plants nearby to break into more cactus crawlers, creating a possibly huge mob of 1x1 blocks.
Suggestion by ThePengu: when a mob of cacti crawlers goes below 3 members, they would go into some sort of panic mode, where they try to run and hide so they can grow thus creating another chain of mobs :3

Size: 1x1, with 1 leg on each side and 2 big white eyes in the front.

Rarity: Common, spawning wherever there's cactus in any desert biome.

Health: Because of how uncontrollable these things can become, it would only take 1 hit with a wooden sword to kill them.

Damage: Normal mode: .5 hearts, no special attacks
Panic Mode: Right after the going into panic mode, the cacti would shoot their needles into the player, knocking him back and maybe, if ever implemented, stunning him for a few seconds.

    Reward: 1 cactus block each.

posted a message on New creature suggestion: Faun
After watching Pan's Labyrinth and realizing how underrated the Faun is, I decided to throw together a concept for a Faun monster in Minecraft 8D

The Faun is a Roman forest spirit/god, closely assoicated with the Greek god Pan, Fauns were a half goat, half human hybrid, with the bottom half being the goat, reaching up to the waist, they also had goat/ram horns and usually wandered around forests guiding lost humans.

However, to keep up with Minecraft's scary monster theme, the Faun would be a forest biome-specific mob, spawning on top of the big multi-branched trees, when a person walks into 30 squares of a Faun, pan-flute music would play indicting that one is nearby, if you try to attack the Faun's tree, it would turn hostile and start attacking.

Size: no bigger then a skeleton, not sure how many blocks that is.

Rarity: The Faun would be an uncommon/rare mob, maybe only 2-3 spawning per forest biome everyday?

Health: Since it's rarity, the Faun would be a bit stronger then skeletons, zombies and creepers, it would take 7-10 hits to take down a Faun.

Damage: The Faun will have 2 attacks, an ambush attack, where the Faun tries to jump onto the player after turning hostile, inflicting 3 hearts worth of damage and a kick attack, where the Faun jumps and kicks the player back, inflicting 2 hearts worth of damage.

Reward: instead of dropping things, I thought it'd be nice if inside the Faun's tree, there would be apple-tree blocks, which you can break for a number of apples (0-3, maybe), although it could drop wool or string, I guess.

    Thoughts? suggestions?
