What kind of creatures can we expect after the core 2 dragons are done? Perhaps drakes? If you need ideas, here's one that I think you could get a lot out of: inaccurate dinosaurs. If you think about it, they're actually very similar to dragons, not counting appearance: they're both still a very prominent part of the public's imagination, despite never really existing; and they were both believed to have been real creatures until modern science disproved their existence.
Maybe some of the mobs can be earth creatures that were transplanted to other planets to see how they'd do *cough cough we need space dinosaurs cough cough*
I googled what a Megalosaurus is and it is a Theropod, not that croco-looking thing.
Actually, it is and isn't: When Megalosaurus was first discovered, scientists thought it really did look like the crocodilian creature I showed you. Look up Victorian Megalosaurus and you'll see.
Here are some ideas (Also, it should be noted that I don't own any of the images that I use):
Super Shark
Alignment: Hostile
Health: 80
Damage: 3.5 hearts to an unarmored player
Biome: Deep Ocean
Drops: Shark teeth, Fish, Super Shark Statue (Rare drop; a small model of the creature that you can place as a trophy), Super Shark Egg (Can be hatched to produce a tamed super shark)
Info: A massive shark with pterosaur-like wings, this deadly predator launches itself out of the water to soar through the air, biting with its powerful jaws and creating huge gusts of wind with its wings. After hatching its egg, you can ride your new super shark through the sky and the water: as it swims, it gives its rider water breathing and night vision that lasts for as long as the player is riding it.
Victorian Megalosaurus
Alignment: Neutral
Health: 80
Damage: 5 hearts
Biome: Swamp, Jungle
Drops: Dinosaur Teeth (Can be used as shark teeth or can be used to make a Dino-Tooth Dagger, which does 5 damage and has the durability of an iron sword), Reptile Hide, Megalosaurus Head, and Megalosaurus Egg (Can be used to hatch a tamed, rideable Megalosaurus)
Info: This massive lizard-like beast acts like a super sized combination of komodo dragon and crocodile-most of the time, it's passive, but if you get too close, it will start tearing you apart with its deadly jaws and powerful claws. As a mount, it's pretty slow, but its power more than makes up for that.
Quite a while ago, I remember finding a mod in this forum that added several dozen new types of structures into caves. Since then, I have been unable to find any trace of it, and all I remember about it is that one of the structures was a fountain.
Thank you for listening to my ideas, Pavo! I have a couple more ideas for you: extinct and endangered birds! These guys would be among the rarest mobs to spawn in a world, and entire epic journeys could be undertaken trying to find them!
Extinct:
-Dodo: Spawns on islands
-Elephant bird: Spawns on islands
-Giant moa: Spawns on islands
-Bennu heron: Spawns in swamps
-Great auk: Spawns in tundra
-Kelenken: Spawns in savannas
-Leptoptilos robustus (Giant stork): Spawns on islands
Hey Jurassicraft devs, what animals are you working on ATM? And, if I may, what feature in particular for this mod is taking the most time to implement?
Also, is it all right if we suggest species of plants? Because if we can, here's my list:
-Lepidodendron
-Cry violet
-Tree ferns
-King sagos
-Ginkgo trees
-St. Helena olive
-Sigillaria
-Araucaria mirabilis
-Wood's cycad
-Silphium
-Cycads
-Horsetails
-Calamites
-Glossopteris
-Williamsonia
-St. Helena Ebony
-Galapagos Amaranth
-Cooksonia
-Hyenia
-Calamophyton
-Asteroxylon
-Archaeopteris
-Psaronius
-Zeilleria
-Medullosa
-Potoniea
-Alethopteris
-Cordaites
-Crinoids (Not really plants, but in the same vein)
hmmm,You know if the Asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years didn't happen we would be reptile people,So then only not mammals but possibly intelligent dinosaurs managed to build UFOs and fly off to safty,Which can explain why the stereotypical aliens look reptilian, though a reptilian person may not be likely to exist as a crptyd.....or is it?
Um, no. The possibilities of that happening are about equal to finding a needle in a haystack the size of Texas. You want to see what dinosaurs would look like if they never died out? Check out speculative evolution.
I have a couple of suggestions for birds (Note-a lot of these are pretty lacking in terms of description. I apologize for that-I couldn't think of any good descriptions for those ones):
-Golden eagles: Spawns in mountains and forests. Hunts animals like pigs and chickens, usually by carrying them off and dropping them from a great height.
-Kakapos: Spawn on islands. These short, flightless parrots can be farmed for meat or just be kept as pets.
-Quetzal: Spawns in jungles, especially around jungle temples. A reference to the temples dedicated to quetzals, you could use these birds to locate temples-the more there are in an area, the more likely that there's a jungle temple nearby.
-Hoopoe: Spawns in savannahs and makes calls that sound like 'hoopoe,' hence their name.
-Tawny frogmouth: Spawns in forests.
-California condor: Spawns in desert hills.
-Magnificent frigatebird: Spawns on beaches and islands.
-Kiwi: Spawns on islands.
-Nene: Spawns on islands.
-Whooping crane: Spawns in tundra and taiga.
Pheasant: Spawns in forests. All variants drop pheasant meat, and can be farmed.
Variants:
-Reeves' pheasant
-Golden pheasant
-Blue-eared pheasant
-Argus pheasant
-Swinhoe's pheasant
Tragopan: Spawns in mountains and hills.
Variants:
-Cabot's tragopan
-Blyth's tragopan
-Temminck's tragopan
-Satyr tragopan
-Himalayan monal (Spawns in mountains)
Parrot variants:
-Military macaw
-Blue & gold macaw
-Hyacinth macaw
-Spix's macaw
-Blue-throated macaw
-African grey parrot
-Kea. Tamed specimens pick up dropped items and put them into chests.
-Eclectus parrot (May need its own spawn egg)
-Australian king parrot
-Goliath palm cockatoo
-Cuban macaw
Parakeet: Spawns in jungles. Smaller parrot species like budgies and lorikeets fall into this spawn egg.

If you need help with that, here's a forum that you could definitely ask to use some of their creatures: http://s1.zetaboards.com/Conceptual_Evolution/index/

Quick question: Are you going to add spiders for every vanilla Minecraft mob?
0
Yep: Super Shark's from a Syfy channel film, and the Megalosaurus is a depiction of dinosaurs from the 1800's.
Also, have an arachnoraptor!

Does anybody here know of a similar-sounding mod?

I found something that could work pretty well with this mod here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/requests-ideas-for-mods/1332512-mod-suggestion-silverfish-expansion-hives-drones

I have a few ideas for achievements:
1. Clever Girl, or maybe You've Bred Raptors?! - Breed a Velociraptor
2. That's One Big Pile of... - Analyze a dinosaur's feces (If that's ever added)
3. They're Flocking This Way - Breed a Gallimimus (Maybe more, if it's possible to code such a thing)
4. We Have a T-rex - Breed a T-rex
Also, I have a question: of all the different things in the mod, what in particular has taken, or is taking, the developers the most time to complete?

On another note, can you guys please add:
-Argopelter
-Hodag
-Wampus Cat
-Tripoderoo
-Hidebehind
-Slide-Rock Bolter
-Sidehill Gouger
-Teakettler
-Pacific Northwestern Tree Octopus
