I readily accept that bronies are not universally liked... but I do need to at least say that I love this texture pack the most of all out of all packs, and it occasionally gives me sads that the MineLP pony armors clash terribly. I really wish... that there were isabella II style pony armor textures I could toss into Mine Little Pony's resources.

I wouldn't mind making some. I've never used Mine Little Pony before... installing it now to see how the armor textures are applied. Should be fun being a pony for a little while.

On one hand, no faces would suit the pack's tone better, I think.

On the other hand, I have gotten used to pumpkins coming with faces, I enjoy making cactus people, and it would be more fun to have a bunch of different faces.

Same, I have sort of gotten used to having all pumpkins come with faces. That way you can use them for scarecrows (or, as you mentioned, cactus people.) Then again, I suppose you could still use a Jack-o-lantern for that purpose, if you don't mind your new friend's head glowing. Overall though, I'd say that an all-or-nothing approach would be favorable... either all placed pumpkins have faces, or all placed pumpkins are faceless. Sure, the possibility of one pumpkin among however many having a pre-carved face might seem spooky and fun at first, but the same was thought of the Endermen's block-moving abilities... once you get used to the fact that it happens sometimes, it ceases to be spooky or interesting and instead becomes a small hassle that you find yourself having to work around.

(Oh, and if it's not already decided, might I suggest giving snow golems the old Jack-o-lantern face with the teeth and glowing eyes, from the customizer? I rather liked that face, and it does seem to suit an animated golem a bit better than it did an ordinary Jack-o-lantern.)

What texture pack is that in the screenshot?

    Bonemouse's Isabella:

EDIT: the painting in the background I edited in for that screenshot, it's not actually part of the pack.

But, I have found myself using this skin of Hanako Ikezawa (Katawa Shoujo) often:

d'aww. I love Hanako, I made one of her a while ago:

    I'm not sure yet.

It could be four versions of Stephen or four different skins (one of them being Stephen.)

I like the idea of each theme having a different default character, as if to say, "this is a different tale, another chapter in the story of Isabella." I'm very fond of minimalist storytelling, and Isabella has always done a wonderful job of letting players tell themselves Stephen's tale, rather than telling it to them; it would be neat to have other similar stories to build upon (pun initially unintended, but now embraced.)

Anyway, nice work on the latest Beta!

Also: I know I've already got wayyyy too many projects I'm doing...But I want some idea's on how to do the potion bottles. What kind of a shape should they have? I want to try this out so maybe I can do an edit for it onto the Brewing table in the terrain.png. Then I'll be able to tell which ones have potions on them xD

I always envisioned a round flask (like this style: http://2.imimg.com/d...348-250x250.jpg but quite a bit dustier/more rustic-looking) with a cork, and wrapped in twine for easy carrying... splash variant would have had no cork/opening (just a round glass ball, meant to be thrown and shatter on impact.) I might still attempt this myself, but at the moment I've got a couple of non-minecraft-related projects keeping me busy, so you are free to give it a try in the meantime.

Wut you just said defines a paedophile

No, it doesn't, and accusations of pedophilia aren't to be taken lightly. Yeah, it's a fictional character you're talking about, but sexual abuse is pretty serious business and tossing out such accusations lightly, even jokingly, it can lead to a very, very dangerous state of mind regarding the issue. There's no need to get swept into a modern-day witch hunt by a media that knows all too well how to exploit your fears.

And yeah I know about the patching...I should do that for sure! I just haven't because I kinda like the default water and lava (I like your water, not a fan of the lava though...it's too "strong" for me. But I can't be a fan of *every* block can I? )

The patcher's got you covered there, actually. In the "options" tab, you can choose whether the patched game will use a custom animated texture, or just stick with default. There's a separate drop-down for each animated texture (water, lava, fire, and portals,) so if you'd like custom water with default lava, you can totally do that. Greatly enhances the overall Jolicraft experience.

Not bad. I have a soft spot for the silly big-nosed testificates, but for those who prefer to encounter human settlements while playing with the original Minecraft textures, these fit in with default pretty well. They definitely look like Steve's people.

This is the texture pack forum. It's for texture packs, not mods. If you are making a mod request, you've come to the wrong place.

It occurred to me just now that I've never actually posted in this thread, even though Jolicraft has been a favorite of mine for just about as long as I've been playing Minecraft. What better occasion to drop in than today, and wish it a happy birthday? Here's to Jolicraft, and to the first of many years of wonderful and weird Minecraft adventures.

posted a message on DoubleB's X-Ray Vision Texture Pack
An x-ray vision pack is, by very definition, the absence of texture. What you are offering us here is the ability to play with less texture than we would have if we were to use default; the only skill exercised in creating such a pack is the ability to remove, rather than create, texture. You are offering us a grand total of negative one texture packs, here.

And yet, in spite of this, you put the download behind an adfly link. :dry.gif:
