Hmm... I think I will move the handle down to the middle.

I need more advice on how to tackle items; most importantly, style and shape.
    -snip-

personally i think the diamond is a bit too large? i really like it when diamonds are tiny little cute gems, idk it makes them seem more precious and valuable, also i think reducing the stew spills would be good

im not sure what everything is (which is probably because i havent been playing mc in about a year), but i really REALLY like the fish, its so god damn cute and the colours and aah !! great

i think the oak logs are too smooth in comparison to the rest. try adding more contrast and maybe less blending in the highlights? very good job otherwise

Well, seems as if we're starting to get the old gang back together, huh? Seems there's been a bit of a texturing dark ages going on, or is it just me? I remember the good old days when we had so many talented artists here... it seems like they've vanished one by one, and things are feeling a bit empty nowadays. Hopefully we can get some more of them people back and have a texturing Renaissance. Anyway, it's good to see you back, Fish and Gigfran.

is everyone gone??? thats a bit sad
"texturing dark ages" seems dramatic,, what ive seen in the last couple of days is hella fine,, ur all so great and talented

Having an architecture pack doesn't mean that your regular pack has to look mediocre. For building blocks, just choose the best texture. For others, that's where you can make the distinction, like tnt being a barrel or hay (exploding hay), or pistons having more table-like features.

I think their reasons are that the rounded bricks are more dungeon-like, while the square bricks are more, building-like. So it's not visual preferences, but thematic preferences.

    right sorry no.
i've been busy with other things.
i really want to continue work on this, but i've sort of lost interest in minecraft.
i'll see what i can do. i didn't think anyone actually wanted an update, but okay.

Tiling is pretty bad on the cobble. (Especially that tiny little stone in the border, remove that, or like, combine with another stone.)
The dithering on the cobblestone is .. interesting. For most parts you use pillowshading (not good). Your doors plain out doesn't look good. It's like, blurry in the middle bottom, and it looks pretty flat. The metal corners look just like you copy/pasted them from DokuCraft ..?
The pistons could do with a higher contrast. There's also a minor tiling error on the bricks (there's a bright line going vertically through), but that could be fixed with more CTM.

    I feel so behind...
It took me like 3 days to make my dirt...
    Anyway, update time!

Most of your patterns have bad tiling (That stone is going to look pretty bad). Instead of outlines, advance your shading, as in, more defined shading, less dithering. The sidegrass is just lazy. The shading on the flowers and mushroom is pretty bad too. Instead of just brightening some areas and darkening some others, think of how the light hits the thing, the shape of the thing, and what parts of the thing casts shadows on other parts of the thing. Also, you should make the ores more embedded, and some of them should be more shiny, e.g gold. I don't think the size difference on the flowers isgoing to work. The mushroom could be a bit more round. Lastly, not required, but making the ores different shapes is a great thing. But you don't have to do that. I don't even do that mostly. I wish I did really.
