But what are they actually going to be used for? Also is building out of the question? It's usually cheaper and you don't get a load of random software that you don't want/need.
The family uses it for general internet browsing, I would use mine for occasional gaming but mostly 3D Animation for school along with internet browsing.

What are you using these PC's for and why do you need two? Don't limit yourself to two brands, that's pretty ridiculous.
1 for me, the other one for my family. I actually wouln't mind if it was another brand but based off experience HP and Asus have done the best when it comes to modification of their systems.

    Hiya,

I am looking for 2 Desktops that are from HP/Asus. The reason the manufacturer is limited to Asus and HP is because I believe off of experience they do the least modification to Windows and the Drivers.

My budget for one of them is $450, and the other one is $550.

I would prefer if I could buy it off Best Buy or Wal-Mart, but if shipping is free Amazon is fine.

However, I was looking at this computer for the $550 budget and it seems great for the price.

    As for the $450 budget,

Opinions on if the 2 choices of PC's I picked are appreciated, and if possible please list a better one for my money.

posted a message on Features from PC that I would like to see
I was hoping some of theses features would have already been out, but it seems like 4J have skipped these additions, may have just labeled them unjustified, or are still yet to be released. Here are some of them with reason why they should be ported over:

Hardcore Mode: Added to PC Minecraft in version 1.0, this gamemode makes it so if you die, your done. World get's erased from eternity. This is my favorite gamemode to Vanilla Minecraft as it adds a sense of carefulness to the game, making the player choose their choices carefully about what their next move should be.

Adventure Mode: Introduced to PC Minecraft in version 1.3.1, this gamemode makes it so the player cannot destroy most blocks in the game. Also in PC, it is used for anti griefing and adventure maps. For the Xbox 360 version, it just makes sense to add this game type because sometimes the given griefer protection options don't work in some situations. And while we don't directly have a map sharing system for gametypes, that doesn't stop us from making our own and playing with friends.

Combining not enchanted tools: This feature was in PC Minecraft since the beginning and allows you to make the use out of that pickaxe you no longer use because it was near broken. Now with a new pickaxe, you start mining but to conserve inventory slots and restore durability you combine the two tools. This feature is coming with anvils, however, to combine tools it costs experience while this costs none.

Pigs dropping 1-3/4 pork: Added to PC Minecraft in version 1.3.1, when it comes to making a farm, the cow is the leader even in the PC version. They drop leather, can be milked, and drop 1-3 beef. But later the pig, being changed from dropping 0-2 pork, was changed to dropping 1-3 pork. I still find this unbalanced because of the cow having so many more features, thus I would like to see the pig with a chance to drop 4 pieces of pork instead of the PC versions 3, as it gives a reason to farm pigs over cows.

posted a message on The ridiculousness of IGN
So the description of the PS3 review states "Minecraft on PS3 isn't as grand as the PC version, but surviving and building in its world is just as fun." yet the PS3 edition received a higher score then the PC edition, 9.5 to 9.0.

And the XBLA Review has a con of "No Mods," which is ridiculous because he is comparing an entirely different version of the game and inputting mods would be nearly impossible, and knowing Sony/Microsoft they would want to put a price on this content making them seem like a Update the game goes through every now and then but for purchase.

The other con for the XBLA review is there is no creative mode, but that isn't true now. Also the reviewer for the XBLA version is once again comparing it to a whole different version.

You see, when someone reviews a game they review what is at hand, in about 99% of the cases, not what other versions have that the following doesn't. That's like making a Con for AC3 Xbox 360 Edition because the PS3 Edition has bonus content. But no, they didn't take that in to consideration at all.

All in all, they should've just deleted the Xbox 360 review and made a console review. Then when the PS4/Xbone editions come out they call it the Next Gen Minecraft review if they insist so much to make another one of these head scratching videos.

I can see where he's coming from, because unless the host works their but off to create battlegrounds and create specific chests with certain items etc I cant see it working very well because it's entirely on the host to do everything beforehand.

Enhanced I imagine would be kind of like starting out with a bonus chest full of preset items from a menu before the game starts. and perhaps customizing specific spawn locations for the players.
Which is why I said 4J verifies the maps sent in by the community and I also like the idea of 4J making their own. It doesn't really matter how long it takes to approve a map, right? I wouldn't even care if it's a new map from the community added every 6 months.

Well hell yes I do. There is only one thing. The combat system is currently complete garbage and should be enhanced before anything like official pvp is added into the game. I am not throwing 4J under the bus there, I am throwing Mojang under the bus.
Enhanced? I actually find Minecraft to be quite competitive when it comes to PvP gametypes. 2 Weapons with the trickery ones like Lava and TNT. Minecraft doesn't have aim assist so battles take, well, skill. Running can result in chases which from there can turn out in to a variety of situations. I think this is what made PvP MInecraft what it is on PC today.
