I do all 3. Sometimes I listen to Minecraft music, sometimes I turn it off, sometimes I listen to my own (a variety of music).

posted a message on New mob- the Nether Hand
Reminds me of this guy from Ocarina of Time:

Anyways, it sounds pretty creepy, my first thought at the name reminded me of Master Hand from the Smash Bros. series, but the description brought the thought of Dead Hand from LOZ: Ocarina of Time. It sounds like another nuisance/hazard to add to the already dangerous Nether, I'm sorry I just don't think I can support it, unless you change the idea some to make it more like a rare Nether boss mob that you have to search for to find (and of course edit his combat methods to fit being a boss monster).

posted a message on Jams and Preserves
I support the idea of adding berries/jam/preserves; however on the jar idea:

It should be like this one posted by heracles4, but I still feel as though the leather should be some other material, as lids to a jar are typically metal or plastic.

posted a message on Dog/Wolf Armor
I like this idea, as I find wolves/dogs to have a hard time being able to do much of any fighting (particularly against skeletons, thanks to their fast firing rate and knock-back, which is annoying for me too.)

Personally I find that Snow Golems needs some aid in fighting as well, Iron Golems are of course practically a chunk of iron, so they're fine, but Snow Golems are pathetically weak, and do no damage (besides to a select few Nether enemies). Or rather I would prefer them to have a way to do damage... Sorry I'm going off topic. I realize they are easy to make, which is why they are weak, I just wish they could do something productive in combat, even if only minor..

posted a message on What's your typical base style?
My first house is typically one of the large or medium houses in villages. I typically choose to live there, defend them, decorate them, etc. And after I gather proper materials I move on to build a nice sized home. I've never actually motivated myself enough to finish off building a castle. But I fully intend to build one soon.

posted a message on What is the one thing you dislike the most in 1.7?
I like this update overall, but here's what I don't like:

    1. Gravel oceans, I never paid attention to it until I read this thread. It is most definitely a negative change, not only is it illogical and unattractive, but it makes clay much less common.

    2. The new biome spawning, I find the same biomes... over and over again, it's a nuisance and makes for dull gameplay.

    3. Considerable lack of ocean, I think we should return to the old system, though I'd rather see a reduction in ocean size, I'll take massive ocean of massive biomes of the same type.

    4. Random witch spawning somewhat defeats the fun of searching for/finding witch huts, and besides they are a formidable enemy earlier on especially. I've also noticed a few witch huts spawning in biomes outside of swamps. To be honest, I'm not sure if this is a glitched I just experienced, or if other people have noticed this.

    5. Some taigas lack snow... I prefer they all do...

    6. I've been having trouble finding some of the new biomes, and technical biomes (such as flower plains/forests).

I typically play SMP so some of this issues may be particularly caused by server error; however, all the servers I have played were 1.7.2 Can't wait for some more fixes/changes in future updates to improve upon the current issues.

posted a message on Since when is minecraft a constant onslaught of zombies?
I don't find the new update so much hard as it is annoying. I slay zombies left and right, and more and more just keep coming, not to mention annoying baby midget zombies running around hitting me. Zombies are not intelligent beings, they never have been, and aren't meant to be, the buffs are currently illogical. The spawning of zombies when you damage one makes some sense, but the way it is currently, they seem to spawn EVERY time I kill a zombie, again, it's just annoying, not really hard to me. And furthermore, they shouldn't be able to see you from so far away, the aggro range for them makes no sense.

It's a lot like the skeleton buffs that were previously added, just plain annoying. Rapid-fire and highly accurate skeletons is just another pain, not so much hard as an annoyance.

posted a message on Golems and Enchanted Pumpkins
Yes, pumpkins be enchanted, at least in creative mode, in survival I have not tested it yet. But still the theory remains possible, and if so, could prove a way of buffing up iron golems, or perhaps snow golems.

posted a message on Golems and Enchanted Pumpkins
I have an interesting question, if you don't know already, pumpkins are counted as armor by the game, and can thus be enchanted with enchantment books to act as armor without taking any durability damage. My question is, would enchanting a pumpkin, and then using it on a golem increase their defenses? it seems more logical for it to effect the snow golem, than the iron golem, but anyways, I was wondering if the effect would work similarly to enchant armor on zombies or skeletons. My current guess is no, but there's no telling until someone tests it properly.

I've been saying this for a while now (before I joined the forums also), but I chose not to make a thread for it, glad someone else did, and has a mind that thinks like me. Great ideas! You mentioned many of the big problems in villages too.

posted a message on Populated Mineshafts!
I don't think it's a good idea, until the actual villagers themselves can do something, there shouldn't be a new group of villagers that can. Also some things to note; glowstone should not spawn in the overworld, villagers would die in a mineshaft easily due to poor lighting, dangerous conditions, and zombies running amok with no place to hide, and finally they are "abandoned" for a reason.

posted a message on Villager Warrior & Villager Archer
    Iron golems were added.

Please never use Iron Golems as a reason why villagers do not need some form of defense. The chances for an Iron Golem to spawn in a village is near 0% unless you're playing superflat... Leaving 99% of villages unprotected, as they have inadequate AI and unsafe village conditions. (i.e. lack of proper lighting, spawning in terrain that messes up village structures)

But anyways the idea has been suggested numerous times, it's a reasonable solution, but already been made.
