I don't know about anyone else on the forums, but. Minecraft SMP just hasn't felt the same in so long, I miss it. I look daily to find maybe sometime I'll find an active pure vanilla smp server, something with a fun community that loves the game, good moderators, no strange plugins that add nothing to the game. I miss it, I just want a server to play on.

I've had this issue also, so here's the solution.
1. Open up command prompt by pressing Windows + R and typing "cmd"
2. When the Command prompt opens up type ipconfig
3. Scroll down until you get see the IP labeled "IPv4"
4. Have your brother type the IP in the IP into the add server tab
It should look something like this XXX.XXX.X.XX:25565
Remember to use the port Minecraft gives you when you start open to LAN.

I made the Infdev clouds for Minecraft 1.15.2, I saw a thread from a few years back saying it wasn't possible, so I did it. It's just the cloud texture so it works in any version of Minecraft.

I'd say 1.15, ignoring the polls since that can only give us a rough estimation. I just find it kinda unrealistic to think that more people are playing on a six year old version of Minecraft for just mods or older combat. Especially when most servers let you on even if you are on newer versions.

I'd day this the most excited I've been for an update since around 2014. I'm looking forward to it, the only complaint I have so far is that the Warped and Crimson forest just feel like a skin plastered over the default Nether.

Mar 20, 2021Alvoria posted a message on Lost my highly accurate Alpha 1.2 styled pack in a OS hopPosted in: Resource Pack Discussion
So simply, in my long frustration of Windows 10 I ended up hopping to Windows 7 then finally settled on Linux. I was doing fine in bringing over everything through backups until I realized; My backups of my resource pack was gone. Now the pack while being just another Alpha/Beta styled one I put a lot of effort into, enough effort to where I really can't bring myself to start over and make it again. So now I am looking for a resource pack that replicates specifically the texture style of Minecraft Alpha 1.2 that has the same attention to detail as mine (Grass, ferns and their tall variants having a slightly darker pallet like in Beta 1.6, held door textures being flipped and detailed more like the old wooden and iron doors, slimes being opaque, etc) it's a very picky request but if anyone can point me in the direction of a pack with that attention to detail I would really appreciate it.
Such a pack can't be posted here due to Mojang's EULA not allowing redistribution of their game assets. Any such pack would likely have to be removed for copyright violation. Same with links. We can't endorse or allow potentially illegal activity here.
As such, I'm going to close this thread to prevent anyone from "helping" by posting a pack that infringes on Mojang's rights and contracts. Sorry, but that's just how it goes.
Best wishes on remaking that pack. Remember - you made it once so now you know how it all works. It'll be easier the second time.

Good idea. I have actually updated the chest textures for 1.15, so if you don't care about the CEM, you can just use them as they are.
Here is the message about the CEM: https://discordapp.com/channels/423430686880301056/425702172219408385/717470033714085899

This is the right way to do it. If the goal is to make the Nether a place to live, diamonds are needed - you can't make netherite without it!

Probably not. It would be kind of weird if mojang added a feature where something weird happens if you attach a fishing rod to a mob. If its not already posted on the bug tracker, you should probably go report it.

Oh snap, I didn't know they stopped the shutdown, whoo! Anyways, you can install it into MultiMC using the instructions given just make sure Optifine is loaded AFTER SSP, or somewhere below it. So make sure the version menu has the files in this order:
HOWEVER, there is a caveat to this, Optifine was never really officially supported and can present various bugs, so use with caution especially when installing through the version menu. One such bug I encountered while writing this was no falling snow visible in snowy Alpha maps. If there's a way to give MultiMC custom jar files to use instead of the vanilla ones, I'd highly suggest to install it the original fashion and follow the Optifine install instructions from the OP in the FAQ section.

I'm hosting a blightfall server for my friend and I, but the game is pretty laggy and we want to install OptiFine.
I know how to change OptiFine to "modded" mode and put it into the mods folder, but on the OptiFine website they removed the old version. Does anybody have a copy of the OptiFine installer for 1.6.4?
