I installed Tails and FoxLib on two computers but they don't see other's tails ingame. They can see and customize their own however. Both clients are up-to-date and have been exported to minecraft.net.

What did I do wrong? I'm under the impression that I am supposed to be able to see the tails of others but cannot. :(

EDIT: oh and MC version 1.8, not 1.8.x. Thanks

Actually now, I can't see my own but other people can see them :/
    lmao

Those are string literals, IFMATCHES and MATCH are the only commands that expect a regex (and interpret their strings a such)
in an IF statement, "(.+) Wool" literally means parentheses with a period and a plus and then a space and Wool, which none of the wools are equal to

    try:
    IFMATCHES(&%item%,"(.+?) Wool",&color,1)
Log("item (wool) is of %&color% color")
    ELSE
    Log("item is not a wool")
    ENDIF

Oh alright...trying that now. Thanks Mart

    EDIT:

Alright that worked perfectly. Thanks a bunch!

    me again :P

I have this, which works but I want to have it for all colors of wool.

    ELSEIF(%&item% = "White Wool")

I can't get this to recognize all colors of wool. :/

    I tried:

    ELSEIF(%&item% = ".* Wool")

    ELSEIF(%&item% = "(.*) Wool")

    ELSEIF(%&item% = "(.+) Wool")

    ELSEIF(%&item% = ".+ Wool")

Just to explain a bit, the pipe splits the smallest surrounding group into options

if you have ^foo|bar$, then the groups are ^foo and bar$, which is not what you want
^foo$|^bar$ is correct, but just messy to look at
^(foo|bar)$ is functionally equivalent, but easier to read and verify

Visual explanation of what's going on: Regexper visualization

Yea that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the explanation and it works perfectly too.

The macro mod community is so friendly and helpful. <3

    The best way would be

    IFMATCHES(%&value%,"^(Tripwire Hook|Cobblestone)$")

Alright I'll try that, it's my first time trying to match multiple lines in one string. I'm trying to condense my scripts.

Been quite a while since I've asked for help, but I'm stumped so here I am again. haha

Here's where I'm not too sure, since it wasn't 100% explicit on regexone.com

    Is it:

    IFMATCHES(%&value%,"^Tripwire Hook$|^Cobbelstone$")

    Or is it:

    IFMATCHES(%&value%,"^Tripwire Hook|Cobbelstone$")

Or maybe even something I didn't think of? xD

    Thanks ahead.

Mart3323 Helped me do what I wanted to do earlier in pm. I'm having another issue now, mostly just me and my lack of experience with the coding language.

Anyway, I'd like to do some simple math with it.

    Current code:

    @&value1 = %@&value2%

    @&value3 = %@&value4%-%@&value1%

    @&value5 = %@&value3%*.6

    End should be @&value5

However it seems to just give me litteral values, if value1 is 0 value4 is 1000 then it sets value3 to 1000-0 and then snowballs when value5 ends as 1000-0*.6

I'm 100% sure I'm just dropping the ball on this one.
    EDIT: is this even possible?

    I'll use your value3 example.
to get a new value for 3 =4 -1 you have to do this.

    @&value4 = @&value4 - @&value1
    @&value3 = @&value4

Is it at all possible to call a txt file from a folder, like for example using LOGTO to log info and $$<log/file.txt> to call it back up?

if not, is possible to have information added to a txt file that $$<> actually can call back?

    thanks.

BINDGUI() takes effect immediately for all slots except for inchat. :/

even changing manually don't take effect until after a complete client restart. I have no other mods installed when I test.
Actually nvm I didn't load the right profile...It doesn't take effect with tabby chat installed, it does without. Do I have to report this in the tabby chat thread? Since I have no idea if I am supposed to report it not taking effect here :P

EDIT: In the mean time I am not using Tabby Chat :(

Changes should happen immediately, so when you next open the screen you should see the bound GUI, there should be no need to restart. If you are using any other mods try testing with them disabled, it may be that something is upsetting it.

Well first put a LOG(%GUI%) in the place where that code is to make sure that GUI actually is "GUIINVENTORY", as I said it may be something else depending on circumstances (eg. mods, different gamemodes, containers, etc).
It was tabby chat...uninstalled it and both work now :/

EDIT: Both the GUIINVENTORY and GUICHEST I meant...BINDGUI(inchat,chatbutton) still needs a complete restart to take effect
