posted a message on Lycanites Mobs - Strange and Deadly Creatures!

Hey Lycanite, I'm trying to create a dungeon for fun, with a custom spawner, but I would like to know how to spawn the mobs' subspecies with commands. I would've checked the jar file, but I'm using my mom's computer and she won't let me get anything to open the jar file. Do you think you could tell me the data tag name for the colors???

    Thanks:

    ~Me

I'm so sad this isn't popular anymore. The only reason I still don't go on is that there's nobody on anymore. I would love for it to come back and for the ice and fire update to come out.

I keep trying to load the game, but it always gives me the message "shutting down internal server" then crashes everytime I try to create/load a world.

    The crash gives me this:

they're called "Stinkys." They change their texture a lot. They eat coal items on the ground and spit out coal a lot. Also, depending on the current texture, they "fart" a certain item. They're found in the Nether and the Danger Dimension.

Due to being very serious about school and such, I can help with base structures, ideas, and fairly basic redstone. I would love to help out as much as I can, but I might not have that much time. Hope I can help. ^_^

    Ideas/Suggestions:

    • If you have MCEdit, you can use the filters AddPotionEffectsToMobs, ChangeMobProperties, CreateGearedMobs, and StackEntities to add more variety to the monsters if you don't already.

    • You can use SethBling's Mortar Filter to create fixed "turrets". (The difference from this and dispensers is that it will go on forever if the spawner isn't taken down and that the players can't pick up the arrows! :D )

    • If it is a "linear" map, then I suggest better loot further on.

    • If it is an "explore whatever you want, go in any direction" map, I suggest better loot further out from spawn, but only after bad things in that direction.

    • For the bosses you could change a spawner's properties to be:

    Min Spawn Delay: 1000000
    Max Spawn Delay: 1000000
    Current Spawn Delay: 1
    Spawn Count: 1
    Entity Cap: 1
    Detection Radius: [Insert Number Here]
    Spawn Radius: [Insert Number Here]

(Make sure that the numbers in detection and spawn radius are the same, and preferably NOT 1 or 2.)

    • You don't even have to put spawners! (If you don't want to.) You could just make darker areas for more mobs later on! (But I recommend only dark areas in the beginning, and the use of spawners later.)

    Well, hope this helped! ;D

This is an excellent guide. I really appreciate your work. :)

Also, here is the "mac" version of steps 1-15 for publishing:

    1. Go into the Minecraft Launcher (for 1.6+).

    2. Click "Edit Profile".

    3. Copy the text in the text box in the section "Game Directory".

    4. Press "command" + "shift" + "g" IN THAT ORDER.

    5. Click "Go" and enter the saves file.

    6. Copy your choice world and paste it on the desktop.

    7. Create a new folder and name it whatever you want (preferably your map name :P ).

    8. Drag your World Save Folder into your new folder.

    9. Create a new "TextEdit" file, and type up your map rules, legal issues (if any), and additional info.

    10. Label your TextEdit file "ReadMe.text". (If it's already there, don't add it again, but leave it there. If you delete it it won't be considered a text file.)

    11. Drag your "ReadMe" file into your "new" folder.

    12. Make sure everything's in your folder!

    13. Select your new folder, select "File" at the top of the screen, and click "Compress ... "Follow Got2Survive's steps 16+ from here. Hope this helped. :)

Also, you can use the command /tellraw to make colored text with choices now. It's EXTREMELY complicated, so I only recommend it to people who know at least a little knowledge about coding (strings, dataTags, etc.) or those well-known with Minecraft's other commands such as /summon, /give, and /testfor.

I made an example code here (and this only covers little possible with this command):

    /tellraw @p {"text":"[Shady Character] ","color":"white",extra:[{"text":"What'd you want? ","color":"gray"},{"text":"Say: I want a cookie.","color":"green","clickEvent":{"action":"run_command","value":"/give @p minecraft:cookie"}},{"text":"Try to mug him.","color":"orange","clickEvent":{"action":"run_command","value":"/kill"}}]}

(Paste this into a command block with "control" + "v" in MC and power it with redstone. ;) )

    Think of the possibilities!

I know it's complicated, but a video showing a complete run-through of it is found here:

Okay, I know that this is a lot, and it may contain mistakes due to this being one of my first comments... but thanks for reading it! :D

posted a message on Need help making zombie pigman spawn hostile

you just punch them when their spawned to make them agro

yes but when they spawn from a spawner they aren't agro anymore, cuz they didn't "see" you punch one. so you need them to spawn agro.

Actually, Zombie Pigmen also have a rare chance to spawn near nether portals, it's very rare, but possible. Most people don't know about it because it's not very significant, and a lot of the time they just walk through it. (First comment! :D)
