Hiya, so it's been eons since I've modified a personal texturepack for myself.... and I can't seem to figure out how to save the sky to be custom (i'm using dokucraft light's custom sky)
Saving the sky files in pack/assets/minecraft/mcpatcher/sky/sky0 or sky/world0 result in only the sun and moon changing.
Saving the files in minecraft/textures/environment/sky0 does not do anything either.
Am I doing something wrong? I'm using the most up-to-date version of optifine ultra with sky visible and custom sky enabled. I need this pack to not use MCpatcher because I need it to work with forge mods I have installed (the whole point of this pack is that I can use it on forge-modded profiles as well as non-forge ones).
Vanilla minecraft doesn't use "birchcolor" and "pinecolor". You must have had a mod in 1.5.x for that (mcpatcher?) which you haven't installed for 1.6.x.
I never used MCpatcher, Birchcolor and Pinecolor were what was in the Misc folder...
You could try getting the latest launcher and the latest mc patcher and see how it goes from there.
I'm not too familiar with those pngs since I've yet to use them so I can't give much insight. gl
I do have the latest launcher, and like I said, ive never used MCpatcher and they worked before...
Hi, im making a custom texture pack for myself, but I seem to have run into a problem.
i used TextureEnder to update my pack, and it gave me two problems....
1. it removed quite a few of my textures, which I had to fix ;_: (This is already done)
2. It broke my spruce and Birch leaves texture.
My texture pack is a 32x Texture pack, recolored off of Faithful to server my personal needs (aka I wanted to make a texture pack for myself) and I have placed the files "birchcolor" and "pinecolor" in the "misc" folder, like where they were before the update, but they still show up incorrect.
Alright, so my awesome window's 7 finally went kaput, and my parents are getting a comp incompatible with Minecraft ;_;
They gave me the option however, to do my research, and get my own laptop.
I am NO genius with computers, i only know how to use one.... and with my small allowance and a couple of around the street jobs I do, i don't have a Huge Income...
So I am asking here... with the requirements that I am stating below, a balance between cost and efficiency, what kind of computer can I get?
(Also, if i ask dumb requirements, dont yell at me, i have NO idea what a computer runs on ;_; )
Requirements for this computer:
-MUST be Pre-built, i cant build worth crap
-MUST run windows, NOT mac
-MUST be a Laptop.
-Must be able to Run minecraft at a decent-to-high FPS
-Must be able to run a recording software ALONGSIDE Minecraft
-Must be able to run skype With Minecraft and recording software
-not required but decent memory space. (I have a 3 terabyte external drive)
If you need more info or can explain if I am missing anything or doing anything wrong let me know! I REALLY need to know...

After scouring the forums for forever, I finally found the fix, I needed to have the folder named world0 and have my render distance above 8....
