When I built my new computer awhile ago, I couldn't help wanting to upgrade it already, only three weeks after I've first booted it up. First I wanted to crossfire my video cards, then I wanted a raid setup, then I wanted a couple ssd's, n moar n moar.
Which led me to thinking, when SSD's kick hdd's out of the market...
...I think raid setups will fade a bit.
Of course people will still Raid their ssd's for super fast rigs, but on Toms hardware I saw that one SSD beat 8 hard drives in a (raid 5 i think) setup. (as far as speed goes)
I hope I'm able to wait till SSD come down in cost so I can run my rig on one that has useable amount of memory.
So, not a question, but I was wondering if any others had anything to say about this.
Nice well rounded build mate. You could save $20 on getting a Coolermaster hyper tx3 cooler. will still run well and you'll manage a good overclock from it. But really I can't pick at your parts much at all.
Thanks for the fast replies you two:)
And for most the mail in rebates newegg has, I wouldn't mind getting the more expensive fan though. Thanks!
Edit: Also this came to mind. Currently I have 2x2gb 1333 ram in one of the dual channels. The motherboard supports 1600, but only when the ram is overclocked. Would I be able to get 2x2gb 1600 ram and keep only that channel overclocked all the time?
Hey everyone.
I've been looking to build a new PC for awhile.
I've done a lot of researching lately and know what I'm doing for the most part, but any recommendations, hardware switches, or things to note would be greatly appreciated.

I'll stick with my 2x2 1333 now, and get more 1333 later on the road. Thanks guys!
Always taking any suggestions though!

That was unnecesary: kill 3 friendly mobs by capturing them with a minecart and sending them into a lava pit
