I'm just wondering, what is the current market for having Minecraft servers and possibly webhosting in Australia? And at what price would anyone buy it for, as I'm aware around $20/GB is normal for Australia.
Good for you R2F, are you offering 8 GB for $5/mo ... didn't think so.. so either offer a well-established company alternative that offers you something similar or go back to running your cheap servers from your basement. We believe so much in giving back, we even offer FREE service to new up and comers to help get their business going (promo code STARTER when checking out).
Website: azgo.org/admin/index.php
Here we are trying to help our gaming community and trolls like you are not allowing us to run a solid business. Our marketing team provided us with that info. Although even if we don't have exactly that -- we offer enterprise hardware so it's better than the hardware used by most small cheap server companies you see on this forum.
Are you even...
You're advertising Dual Intel Xeon E5-1650v2 processors, a configuration which isn't possible. Not just you, but your website also does. That's false advertising. The fact that you don't bother actually researching your own hardware, what you sell, is quite bad and is going to reflect towards to your customer. Nobody cares if you're selling 8GB for $5 or 8GB for $64. Everyone want quality, and nobody trusts people that falsely advertise.
Now, you also took it further. The fact that you're calling out Ready2Frag to be a basement host and a troll shows how little you actually know about this industry. Ready2Frag operates as a DBA under HostVenom, LLC which is a successful dedicated servers company that privately owns their hardware and co-located it in a premium data-center.
Also, they don't falsely advertise. They co-locate (aka, they buy the hardware and sends it to a data-center, if you didn't know) premium E3 servers, which most of the times beat E5s in performance, especially a non-existent setup. Kid, you should look at the big guys and learn, not bash them.
Are you a registered company? That INC in your name is kinda confuzzling.
What's the specs on your servers, and what data-center do you use? Is it co-located or rented?
Why do you not have a website or even a domain? This is pretty much required when it comes to hosting, nobody orders by email.
How long have you been up?
Why do you claim to be the cheapest yet sell at $15 for 1GB?
Let's say you're 15 years old, and an average man lives to he's 80. That means, 65 years, or 780 months. Let's say that a 1GB server costs on average $5/mo. For 65 years, or 780 months, that'd be $3900, which would roughly be a one-time payment. 2GB would then be $7800. Buckle up.
If you don't have the money to start a hosting company, don't start a hosting company. Don't ask for investors or sponsors. If you're making a server, you can ask for a sponsor. This isn't a server, this is business.
The EULA has been the same since the first minecraft servers where available and haven't changed the ranks are allowed in the agreement they have to be under a certain amount I check the EULA and I know if it is unacceptable or not and its acceptable
You can't possibly have read the EULA, as that is far from the truth.
Describe yourself: I am a 15 year old boy from Norway. In my free-time, I enjoy spending countless hours training Karate. When I'm not, I'm either at my computer or at school. I'm also a hobbyist music producer, aka I produce bad music when I can't come up with anything to do. While being a Norwegian, I still speak fluent English and type quickly, so communication isn't particularly hard for me. I also speak a bit French, but please don't make me.
Timezone and country: GMT +2, Norway
What are you looking for in a survival server? Right now, I simply enjoy playing the game as it's supposed to be with a couple of friends. I don't like public servers, as griefers and trollers simply join and destroy your progress. I like joining a community that isn't too old, that way I guarantee I'm not too under-leveled as opposed to them.
Blesta isn't all there yet. It has a much great capability for development and customization, being mostly open-source, but it's simply not all ready for full active deployment. It is missing a couple features we need, otherwise, we would transfer from WHMCS to Blesta ASAP.
It especially helps that Blesta has redone their UI and made it look a lot, lot, lot better than it did only a few months ago. A bonus is the bootstrap-powered responsiveness and clean design as a result.
I have used (and still use) WHMCS in production, and have used Blesta in private.
What features are you missing? There is a good amount of modules and plugins for Blesta, which basically covers *most* of WHMCS already-there features.
If you're planning to make a Minecraft Hosting company, and mostly minecraft, then Blesta would be a good choice for you. Their Multicraft addon allows you to do a lot of other things that the WHMCS addon can't, such as Automatic Dedicated IPs, automatic changeable slots, etc. Obviously, since the customers are also used to WHMCS, moving to Blesta might be a bit hard.
Minerharvest, or Ricky (?). I have no intention to bash you or your name, but you're a bit too early to post a thread like this. Or maybe even, a bit too late. You've already started one "company" before, SteelHosting or summin, and let's be fair, it was a complete failure. Why didn't you follow your own plans before starting your own company?
You're no new firm. Just because you changed the name of your host, doesn't mean your reputation is renewed. While yes, some of the points in your thread do in fact make sense and is good, one should not simply take this kind of information from you. I don't mean to be harsh, but that's the reality.
Also, some of your points simply do not reflect yourself. Do you have passion in what you do? You obviously don't, leaving your old customers from your old company behind. If you had enough resources to start the company, you should have expected a loss in the first 3 months, at least. This is Minecraft, it's hosting industry is hard to get into and even harder to stay in.
You're also missing several important points. Registration should be done prior to opening your so-called "company", because you can't call yourself a company before you're registered. Getting an accountant, registering a company and hiring professional staff should be done prior to opening the company. You should be ready, and you should have the money to stay alive for 4-5 months without making a single cent.
Please, re-think what you're doing. It's for all of ours best.

Personally, I believe Blesta is best.
