But what is your current status on the development of Psychedelicraft?
I'd like to see it updated to a more recent version of forge for 1.7.10, as it's a fun mod for me and my friends to play around with in our private modpacks. But I don't mean to beg and plead for a update.
New version of Flaxbeard's Steam Power, 0.28.12. It's currently under review, but I need to leave, and there's no reason for it to not get approved.

Hey, don't mean to press or anything but there's a issue for me. Whenever I have this mod installed (forge v 1448) the thrusters seem to not work, as they aren't activating/triggering correctly.
Yes. Usually those moments come from the worst kind of error - one that boots up and works without an error message (because your code is technically correct) but doesn't do what you want. For those, you just have to re-read until you either go to the forums or find the problem.
Looking at a plethora of YT videos, already made my first item (that doesn't crash the game) and so far, working on attributes.

Keeping expectations low is a VERY good idea. That means you will start doing recipes and items that don't do anything of particular interest (e.g. healing)
Do research on what a nullpointer exception is. It is like THE most common question.
Search tutorials on youtube to learn the basic things (crafting/smelting, items, food, tools/armor, blocks, ore gen, mobs) and THEN start doing things that don't have tutorials.

So I've recently been having more "sane" ideas about mods, but here is the thing:
People don't want to mod for me. I mean, who wants to waste their time making a mod for a person who will dismiss them as soon they download it?
So I've compromised, and decided on something.
I'm going to mod myself. *Dramatic chipmunk
And because of that, I will need help. So I've made this thread for this very reason. I mean, why make a bunch of threads, when I can make a large one?
This is probably going to be my biggest thread on here, and I'll be asking questions frequently, because I have no past experience in java.
I've already looked at java tutorials on YT, and installed the reccomended java 1.7.10 version, and Eclipse/Java SRC.
So, before I get started (I am going to start tomorrow) Would you guys kindly give me some pointers? Advice too? I'm trying to keep my expectations down to a minimal regarding my modding capability, because I already want to make a sophisticated mod. And I know that is going to take a long long time to do it properly.
So upcoming ideas for potential projects (as if I don't give up :P)
Medical need: (easy, just some basic items)
Adds basic medical items, to heal. Perfect for my "NaturalRegen=Off" server. Carry a emergency first aid!
Gun mod: (Tons harder, because of the way I plan to make it) *Won't do for a LONG while
So I'm tired of slapping 18 iron ingots, and magically a UZI appears in my hands.
No, just... no.
Now you need things like:
Bullet press(es)
Drill Press/Primer
Many more...
Good balance between "Oh, you have a gun, now maintain it" or "Save your brass, you'll need it!" and maybe "147 grain with a lead bullet isn't a good idea" "That heavy spring will reduce ROF, but make it easier to maintain recoil" "That muzzle break will reduce recoil by 20%" ect ect.
