I saw there was a preview for optifine and was going to try and launch the installer until it said Minecraft 1.7.2 not found and it was then that I realized I had forgot about the Minecraft 1.7.4 update and I ran outside as fast as I could to scream out Mojang's name in the cold rain as I slammed my fists on the ground only to ask the gods why they would give me such a cruel fate

I am able to download optifine, but whenever I want to install or open it, it asks which program I want to open it with and I've basically tried everything, but it doesn't work. Which program do I open it with?

Yeah I've tried just about everything, I'm starting to question whether it's just me noticing how stuttery minecraft is after playing other games for too long and the more i notice it the more unbearable it is >.<
I started a flatmap world, set all settings to default and got a little under 400 fps, but could still notice slight stuttering though not as bad as the mini-game world, I tried lowering a few settings, render down to normal, graphics onto fast, the FPS doesn't go a lot higher and the stuttering feels the same, I change to V-Sync and the problem feels the same (FPS doesn't move from 60 which is the odd bit, you'd think with stuttering it'd drop to 59 or something every few seconds) but the counter remains smooth
This is driving me berserk because it's such a subtle thing that I just can't look past and with a system like mine there shouldn't be stutters, I don't say this for bragging rights but more down to it really shouldn't be a case.
Nope, I have two AMD cards (6770 and 7970) and I don't have the fancy option on either, I'm quite sad that those pictures are the result, it's always been a mystery to me what fancy looks like and it doesn't look as good as I imagined

Its basically fog but.. it looks perfectly round. Not like you see sideways and you see something, but when you see straight you cant.
Just a circle of fog. Looks really fancy. I have a pc that runs mc at render short with 30 fps. I have do F***ING IDEA HOW I HAVE THAT OPTION!
I Played in a towny server. I had my plot in a town and a 16 by 16 13 story house. It had 3 basement levels with farms. Well.... Then I went on a vacation 2.5 months. I came back and they said I was gone for too long. My plot was sold for 0000 coins. All my efforts, my chests with a total of 223 diamonds!. My crops, my animal farm with like 200 cows, my 13 stories and my garden on the roof.. all was gone..... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I cursed at the server admins unimaginable words and left the server.
Minecon does almost nothing for our community. I would Imagine a group of teens with creeper heads cleaning up trash in the city.
But reather than that....
Im looking for a server with straight up pvp. Like you just get a kit and run into war. You die and you can get the kit again. I hate all these servers that say : Wait 23 hours and 40 minutes to get your kit again.
Also You just have leather and theres people with Full diamond ad enchanted armor.
If anyones knows a server with straight up pvp and a good amount of people in it... PLEASE TELL ME!
Mostly for the new years. It will go back up tommorow.. There is a way to play multiplayer BTW, I dont really liked cracked servers but thats all you can play now since they dont have the requirment to be online... sucks

I have edited the mystery box, added an ammo shop, edited the starting items, improved the bank machine of trading rotten flesh, and put a replaced a bit of the perks with gun attachments. Thats all ive done so far. Please tell me if I can release it to public when im done. and if yes, if you will please link it. When You reply, I will send you the map before anything. Please, I will point you out for most of the credit and I think people will really enjoy it.

Sorry, I don't mean this to sound whiny or anything. I've gotten used to no optifine over the last two months. I was just on the release history page of the wiki and noticed how quickly new versions roll out, and see that optifine's only 35% done.

Now at 40%. they will do 7-10 percent everyday. Once at 80-85%. There most likely to go to 100 % in one day. so its like 3-4 days now to go. I mostly care about this for servers as i thnk most do becayse my PC DEPENDS on optifine for 1.7. So STFU NanookRubbedIt.

Safe. Few bugs with clear water and not all settings are fully available. But you can use it.
