Just wanted to ask why you decided to work on the prison first :P

So you've finished the spawn building and the prison so far?

Looks nice. Are you planning to build huge towers for the wealthy or something?

posted a message on Iron Golem Farm Underground?
Villagers don't seem to have changed much...hmm.

Anyway, an underground village is massively awkward because a "house" is defined as a door with one side having more roof blocks. Except underground, every single block up to the surface is a roof block, so...yeah, you can imagine how counting them would be a headache. And to have one side have more blocks the other, there might have to be 2 places open to the sky, the central golem spawning place and possibly a small area at the "back" of the house to define them.

Heh, not bad. Your world seems fairly interesting, and it would be great if you built many farms, decorative buildings etc around the place instead of just going to resource gathering and mob/boss slaying.

posted a message on Town Connections, roads and more (hopefully) NEW PICS. UPDATED 29/08/2014
Hey, maybe you could WorldEdit some villages in strategic places, so it actually looks like a countryside instead of roads going nowhere. That way you actually have towns to connect :P

It just doesn't look the same in a superflat world...kinda boring without the obstacles to build around to make the roads not a straight line.

Yeah, a mad scientist's lab would be a great idea. You'd need extensive Nether farms for Blaze rods and a maybe few Wither skeleton skulls though :P

-Cloning tubes could be tubes of green glass filled with water

-Add tubes and glass winding everywhere

-Keep it very dark (slab it to stop mob spawns, and it'll also create a few bats)

-Make plenty of shelves with cobwebs

-Make a few medical beds/tables (splash a bit of redstone around it as blood)

Anyway, you could explain it as that you're taking the villagers and experimenting on them. Heheh.

Actually, in survival, wooden planks are the most important thing. Without them, you can't have sticks, so you can't have tools, so you can't have any of the other resources. Heheh.

Also confused OP huh? Wrong thread?

posted a message on Is suffocation possible for mobs?
I use a layer of water flowing inwards in my pens so the animals don't glitch out in the walls. Makes my barn look pretty interesting, especially because it has white and blue decor instead of the usual wood. :P

Anyway, putting tons of animals in a small space especially in the middle of a redstone machine probably isn't a good idea. Try using glass so at least they won't suffocate when they're glitching around. Or you'll have to be very careful.

If you've set Cheats to on, then you can simply use /gamerule KeepItemsDeath true.
If not...it's a bit more complicated.

And congrats finding your stuff :P

posted a message on I have been having a CHICKEN KILL PROBLEM
Try adding a water feature around the edges which flows inward on all sides. The chickens will be pushed into the center so they don't glitch and suffocate in the walls. Though you won't be able to collect the eggs anymore, it should be safer for them.

posted a message on Axe enchantments
Silk touch on an axe is ONLY beneficial if you're relocating your library. Everything an axe chops quickly drops 1 of itself anyway, and you should use shears on leaves if you really want them.

Fortune.... Most of the stuff an axe chops fastest doesn't drop more than it usually does with Fortune. Except leaves, I think, but the axe will run out really quickly if you go around chopping leaves off everywhere.

It does make you get more of a crop, so it's useful if you're farming and you only have an axe.

So, mostly useless. Enchant it with Efficiency or Unbreaking first, then Fortune if you really want to.
