    Most notable are the fixes to Poketamables not spawning on servers and Bloodmoon Ninetales' broken loot table.

    Here is my annual Firecracker Litten Fourth of July video. Its a great way to see many of these mobs in action since to my knowledge, pretty much no one has made a current video of the modification.


    I would put this in the main post but it features content programmed specifically for this video and won't be released.

    My account has been recovered, but I'm gonna wait to release an update. I have finally sat down to put together the guide for 1.2. That should be out within the next week, unless I encounter a major bug in testing (has happened in the past). The next update with be the official 1.2 release.


    I have over 100 screenshots to take for the guide, so it is time consuming. And the screenshots are important because it proves to me what I am looking at actually works.

    Tried posting an updated Beta version today but apparently CurseForge merging with Twitch screwed up my login information. So that will have to wait until later.

    This version includes a trial run of Minor Boss Bloodmoon Ninetales, one of the finest animated mob models in all of Minecraft (even after over two years since her creation).

    Hello all. ^^


    It's been a long time. For the first time in months, I have started working with Minecraft again. Though I am sorely out of practice when it comes to modding.


    When I went to try playing my mod with all the updated mods, I thought it was completely broken and had to have a significant rewrite of my item code to get it to work again. 8 hours later, I could play it. But the Forum comment right above this one had the actual answer to fix it and could have saved me a lot of time. c.c


    Modding today is not as friendly to me now as it was when I stopped. My main modding laptop failed. While I have saved all the mod files and assets, its a huge mess of getting them back into a place I can regularly use on this new laptop.


    I am also finally learning how to put my mod content on Github. It was always intended to be open source so it is at least going to be on Github in some way, just maybe not in the most professional manner. When that is more established, I'll make a public link to it. ^^


    That's all for now. Don't forget that a DeviantArt Note is still the best place to get my attention, though I only check it once every few days. And you can thank someone sending me a note there recently to motivate me to resolve saving my mod from the laptop failure a few weeks ago.

    It's not a starter but Foxfire Zorua was the next mob I wanted to re-add. ^^ Its the last of the old PokemonMD Tamables to return.

    I have released a Beta version for 1.12.2. Still undocumented but seems to work alright for the most part. I believe I have fixed most of the most game breaking bugs I could find as I played through all of the Twilight Forest mod.

    If the 1.12.2 file hasn't shown up yet, it may still be awaiting approval but should be up soon.

    Hey Mowsie, when you update to 1.12, there is an issue with the method getEntitiesWithinAABBExcludingEntity(). I imagine you probably use the particular part that is an issue somewhere in your mod. You can find the topic here:

    Your IDE won't pick up this as a problem and you likely are not gonna figure it out by yourself. I've already talked to three prominent modders that had this problem without realizing it. I'm passing this info on to save you the grief. ^^

    Hello good sir. I am developer of a Minecraft mod that uses a section of code based on your PetBats mod. When I updated to 1.12, that section of code was broken and I couldn't figure out why as I didn't get any errors. When I went to the Forge forums for help, I learned that the Forge team made a poor decision in updating certain methods used.

    In particular, this should help fix the bug involved with dropping pie on the ground to revive (ItemTossEvent handler), the section of code I actually use. I figured I best pass this info on to you since you pioneered this code!

    Good grief, its gonna take me about 2-3 times longer to update the recipe code alone than the rest of the mod combined just to update to 1.12.2. -.-' Which is saying a lot as they messed around with items, blocks, and sounds coding again too.


    In my opinion, as a mod developer, modding is becoming increasingly unfriendly to new modders. A lot of the updating is targeting people more experienced in programming. Back in 1.7.10, I would highly recommend Minecraft modding as a means of learning how to program. For 1.8 and beyond, especially 1.12 today, I wouldn't recommend trying to learn programming with Minecraft anymore.


    Also, with the increasing reliance on those crappy JSON files, I am afraid they will move mob modeling to those too, which would be absolutely fatal to my mod. I can't program the animations I do with crappy JSON files at all. I have a heavy reliance on things like loops and if statements to make my magic work. My mod could better handle a conversion to C++ than JSON files.

    I have a burning desire to play the Twilight Forest as I never really completed that. So I am poking at that 1.7.10 back port I promised myself to do. Working in 1.7.10 I'm remembering just how much easier it was to mod for that than 1.8 and beyond crap they did to Minecraft.
