Wrong again, if it's not that GPU dependent, why my integrated ATI Radeon 4250, my old GTX 460 get much lower fps?
Question: JRE conflict with JDK ? Because I have JRE 6 and 7, JDK 6 and 7
The Android SDK uses JDK 6
This maybe sounds stupid but are you even using your high-end graphic card? One of my friends started the game and he got low fps and didn't know why. He was changing every single setting, reinstalling Minecraft and so on. Nothing helped. Then he realized that he isn't using the high-end graphic driver but the standard graphic driver in his PC. He switched that and now he gets more than 200 FPS
I'm using a Nvidia GTX 680 Super Overclock (Gigabyte) 2GB
If you say it's not good enough I'm gonna cry haha
I have Nvidia Control Panel up to date, I play games on pc since 1995, I'm a computer technician too.
I have more than 600 GB of games and only have problems with Minecraft...
And I'm developer & VFX / CG producer. No problem to render or compile.
Collin1971 Already selected Advanced OpenGL and added the javaw to Nvidia Control Panel...
For some reason there's no drop box to change the graphics processor... My onboard is ATI Radeon 4250 so I think Nvidia drivers auto disable any trace of ATI... So no need to change graphics processor here...
But I don't really fixed the problem, I only tested with another intallation (clean) of Windows and I had much higher performance and fps.
Now I need to find the problem... Maybe something is conflicting with Java...
Anyway, with shaders now I get 35-45 fps (15-25 fps before), much more playable, no lags. Even with motion blur enabled. Without motion blur now I get 45-55 fps.
It's beta and it may not be fully compatible with any Nvidia card.
(Sonic Ether is trying to make it compatible with ATI and Nvidia)
So, Slay3R?
How could you explain Minecraft here running at 140-340 fps with a clean install of Windows?
Remembering that was running at 40-55 fps before. Did you see the difference?
Almost a gain of 100-285 fps!
THERE IS A PROBLEM.
Now we need to know what exactly causes this and help all the people who share this problem that you swore it was imaginary.
Stop trying to convence people that Minecraft, Java or OpenGL is not good enough to run above 200 fps, because this is .
Java has a lot of problems I know, but it totally capable to run with great fps.
If you can't help, stop saying about Minecraft, OpenGL or Java.
We all knew how it's different from the other games and how much it cost in performance.
Slay3R? So explain youtubers getting 100+ fps with with computers much weaker than mine, even with crappy laptop they get higher fps, go ahead.
If it's not a problem, what is this? They using dark magic?
Not that you should take anything from a noob like me who cant even get his game started because of his crappy computer...but I wouldnt worry too much about how laggy your game is. You seem to have an overpowered computer. From the looks of all the posts in this forum you are most definitely not the only person who is having this problem. So many people are complaining about this I am sure it has something to do with Java or the software or something and it will be fixed soon because of all the complaints.
Yeah, I know, a lot of people have the same problem, a lot of people think the game is running like it should to run, but it's not even close...
The Mojang should talk about this problem and give instructions of how to solve it.
There are some email that I can contact them?
If you really think that there's no problem, you're just with the same problem and thinking this is running good enough, BUT IT IS NOT.
Java is not too bad to run with low fps on high-end computer.
You say "What's your CPU? Maybe it's too weak for Minecraft bla bla bla"
This don't even use 20% of my CPU! I can see it in task manager!
It's software problem, maybe configuration or conflict but the hardware is good enough to run this with more than 200 stable fps like so many youtubers get 100+ fps even when recording with Fraps!
I think that everyone has been treating this as a problem with your computer, not a problem with the game. Are you running the new 1.6 launcher, if so go to the download on Minecraft.net and scroll down, there will be a link to the older downloads. Download the old launcher and run it. Tell me if your fps is back to normal. Also is your fps down in any of your other games?
I am using the old launcher...
I get low fps only in Java 3D games (I never seen another java 3D game so I can't really know if it's only Minecraft)
OpenGL and DirectX is running fine with high fps
Yep, I already knew all these tricks
I really don't know what's going on, my CPU, GPU and RAM must be powerfull enough to run smootly...
I gonna try dual boot with a clean installation of Windows 7 or 8 and see how it performs...

This problem there's nothing to do with 1.6

Without mods, with optifine, result: same.
Slay3R?
Wrong, an brazilian youtuber (JoseRobJr) get 120 fps stable with a crap computer and tons of mods.
Mokeyfarm get over 100 fps with a laptop
Xisuma get 120 fps stable
Sonic Ether get 82 fps with shaders mod, WITH SHADERS
