Well, Three things.
1. You don't really need updates, Sure, They fix some things and add in some new features, But it's not huge.
2. I believe you can download them from the internet and insert an USB into the PS3.
1. Well, I kind of do need them for the Bluray player, that's kind of the main reason why I'm worried.
2. If this is true, that's pretty cool.
So, I finally decided I'm gonna pick up a PS3 for Christmas, and I realized something, I don't have a router in my house. As in, I have zero Wi-fi, (I use my desktop) and my computer is pretty far from my TV. So, how would the PS3 (and it's Bluray player) get it's updates? Is it like with the Wi where you buy a new disc and it may contain the update to download for you? Or will I have to get some sort of Wi-Fi?
Wait, 360 comes with a headset? That actually is really helpful for me, as I don't have one yet, is the quality of the headset good? Also, does it come with the 4gb version? Also, what do you mean discs can burn out?
PS3 free wifi? If you mean built in wireless, the most recent model of the xbox has that. Also, xbox software is going to be updated soon, it will include skype, bing, youtube. I know PS3 already has an internet browser + youtube support but that was designed a while back and in my opinion is now slightly out of date. I don't think you can decide on what one to get simply based on what games are available, if you would prefer graphics then definitely go for the PS3. For a better online experience, go for Xbox. I own both and I prefer xbox but I like to think of it like this -
PS3 - built with hardware in mind
Xbox - built with the internet in mind
By free wifi, I mean you don't have to pay $50 a year to play online.
Hey, I have a question that's been haunting me. For Christmas, I'm asking my parents for either a PS3 or a 360. Which should I get? I know PS3 has free Wifi, the hardware is better overall, and the BluRay player is fantastic, but more of my friends play online on the Xbox, and there are some exclusives that look interesting, Halo, for example. Would really love some help with this!

The funniest part about this is that it's true. :laugh.gif:

Edit: Just thought of another thing: Would you be able to get DLC the same way?

Yep, it even uses the same textures. I'm surprised no one has sued their asses yet.
