So, I just downloaded Camstudio and was ready to record. I take a small test recording, and realize that it has no sound. I look for some fixes and here was one that said to check "Show disabled/disconnected devices" and there should be an option named "Stereo Mix" and you go on from there. I clicked Show disabled/disconnected devices, and there was no Stereo Mix option, there was nothing that wasn't already there. The three options I get for recording are: Microphone, Line in, and rear mic. I'm using the operating system Vista. Is there any solution to this? I would really appreciate it.
You guys are putting your expectations too high. Remember when everyone said that in 2000, we'd all be able to teleport and use hover cars and jet packs?
I imagine computers will be about... 5 times more powerful? Harddrives will probablybe about 100TB, and Ram will be about 40GB. I'm probably underestimating too.
Okay, with my settings on: Graphics: Fast, Smooth Lighting: Off, Render Distance: Normal, Performance: Balanced and using the default Texture Pack, I'm getting 28 Fps. I guess my comp just naturally sucks?
I HIGHLY recommend Camtasia. It costs a fair bit of money but it has no lag when recording, small(ish) files and it is an editing software too!! That's what I use to record my Let's Plays.
$300 is not fair. That's like, Photoshop expensive. There have to be better ones that don't cost that much.
Did some research, try Camstudio or Hypercam. I haven't used either yet, mainly because I'm looking for a good video editor first, but as far as I hear, they're pretty damn good.
Try Lightworks. It's a free, open source program that is extremely powerful, more than enough for what you need. It's a bit confusing at first, but there should be plenty of tutorials out there to help.
Okay, so I'm almost ready to start making videos. Got Audacity by my side to spruce up the audio, and I've all but downloaded CamStudio. Now, the last thing is, I need a free video editing program for PC that can have multiple audio/video layers. As in, I could combine audio from a video with an audio track from somewhere else. Some help, would be appreciated, if not I could go back to using Movie Maker.
I have a suggestion. My reputation is at 9 now, and I was wondering how it got that high, then I thought of something. There should be a tab next to posts that says "+1'd posts" or something like that, that tells you which posts of your have been +1'd. It would help those with extremely high rep to figure out how the hell they got all that rep in the first place.
