    who is going to bother downloading a texture pack that looks exactly like the original? A texture pack has the sole purpose of changing the textures to give the game a different feel... your pack does not do that at all. I would suggest choosing some sort of theme and using it as inspiration to come up with something worthwhile.

    This is the BEST texture pack out there!!! I try other ones still, but I always come back to this one! I love the new animated textures (I didnt even know that was possible) and now that the patcher has random mobs I have been loving this pack even more. The other day I saw a slime and he had a retarded face and I laughed and attacked him and when he split I saw a ninja slime and it scared me for a second and was like "oh ****, a ninja slime!!!" but then I realized that it is just a normal slime with a different texture lol. Just wanted to say thank you for making this work of art, I cant wait to see the next updated version!!!

    well of course you could go outside, but outside is dangerous at night. The only time I find myself out there is if I lost track of time and see the sun setting and make a run for it back to base. I will kill something if it is in my way, but if I can get around and avoid confrontation I will because too many times I have tried to fight out there and could not watch my back and have gotten sneak attacked, killed, and lost everything. With the level system it has forced me to fight more mobs, but I only do it in the daytime or in caves. outside at night is just too much. Maybe if I had some level 50 diamond armor and swords I would take them all on, but I don't.

    I don't want this idea to replace having to go outside, but possibly more of an idea to make those who feel the need to make a mob grinder think more about legit options of mass resource gathering. (they probably wont, but some might)

    And I really just want to be able to farm creepers, skeletons, and spiders. They could make them all farmable somehow for all I care, but those are the only ones I am interested in. I think wheat is used for farming animals right now and doesn't seem appropriate for hostile mobs. I think something else should be used... but what, I don't know.

    Just an idea I had, I dont know how well it would work though. I was just thinking about the challenge of capturing them in an enclosure... then I thought about how cool it would be if you could breed them too like pigs, cows, etc.. I dont know how you would get the drops without getting attacked, but it would be something extra to do in the game and I dont think it would be too hard to impliment since the code for breeding is already there...

    ...your thoughts?

    I was excited to learn that with silk touch I could finally harvest mob spawners. Everything I have been doing in game since I learned that has been trying to obtain silk touch because I wanted to experiment with it. Now I am sad to learn that after you get it all it does is spawn pigs.

    I feel the more creative options you have in a game like this, the more fun it becomes (more stuff to create).
    BUT... now that I really think about it, with the lack of having the ability of placing mob spawners that spawn hostile mobs, you are forced to build/invent mob grinding contraptions of epic size and inginuity once again... which in itself is more fun then what you could do with just placing a spawner in a small room and making a small grinder. I will admit I was upset at first, but when I think about it... I am a little relieved because I enjoy planning, designing, and building things that present a challenge. Obtainable mob spawners would have taken that away...

    That looks like it is more for map downloads. I think I will just keep it here rather then create a thread to advertise a thread lol. If nobody wants to try it, no big deal. It's still a cool seed to use for whatever.

    Here is a seed I found with two mushroom islands and not much else. You spawn on a pathetic little island with no trees, but nearby are two mushroom islands to start your new life on. There is only one tree on the map which makes this a very challenging seed to survive on. I have included a pic with a detailed map to help start you out...

    OK, I like that idea.... All challenges must be completed on mushroom biome!
    10 challenges, 200 points to collect, plus 5 extra bonus points.

    1- build a wooden shelter on top of a mushroom (minimum 5x5x5) [5 points]
    2- build a wooden boat dock with boat docked [5 points]
    3- build a wheat farm (10 wheat minimum) [10 points]
    4- build a sugar cane farm (10 sugarcane minimum. One small island does have sugar cane) [10 points]
    5- fence in 10 shroom cows (can breed them) [15 points]
    6- get grass to grow (minimum of 20 blocks on island) [50 points]
    7- obtain a fully explored map of the area [25 points]
    8- craft a full double chest of mushroom stew [30 points]
    9- build a nether portal [30 points]
    10- build an above ground lava pool (4x4 minimum) [20 points... 5 bonus points for a pic of a cow on fire from it]


    Are you minecrafty enough to get all 200 points plus the bonus and master the challenge???

    You must post pics of completed challenges to collect points...

    Actually, when the whole seed option thing became available and if your spawnpoint was at x: 0.0, z:0.0 then it was not random and you will spawn at that same location every time. But ever since 1.9 came out I noticed a lot of seeds seem to spawn in the same location every time no matter the coordinates. I am thinking the games creators changed things so seeds were more shareable. After all, they did revamp the whole map generator thingy because old seeds generate completely different worlds now then they used to. I think eventually someone out there will spawn on a mushroom island...
