In fact I just tested it. If you can get to where the blocks traverse a bottom corner between pistons, if you find the right spot and put a switch it will stay and you can flip it and jam the whole thing up.

Edit: by switch I mean lever. And it seems it must be placed by the piston which pushes up. When you flip the lever it can stop that piston and block the whole ring so you could break it.

Are you testing this out in single player or smp, i think this might be a difference between them lol

but the hard of a vault you try to make, the more you will motivate greifers to get it, hiding is the best but most boring option xD

Unless it's smashing the blocks against something, it'll be cake to click the mouse and put a torch on. You don't have to sit there and like glue the torch to the block or anything. You click and it puts it on whatevers in front of you.

Breaking it, however, wouldn't be possible without TNT, unless it's Obsidian. So points for that, at least.

the moving blocks would pop the torch off, and since the pistons are on the corners it would be impossible to mess w/ them though the placement of torches, sadly you cant move obsidian w/ pistons otherwise it would be perfect.

I just figured out a way to stop them from placing red stone torches, breaking your walls or being able to change it (except for tnt)

you build a 4x4 rotating tunnel of sorts using pistons on the corners to continuously push the blocks around, they will be moving too fast to place torches on or to break the blocks of the wall

The issue is that the chickens came from artificial eggs, and they don't really have any parents.

However, we're working on another study using sheep, which will be posted in a few minutes.

Could you use wheat to make them breed from a starting population that you have atm?

Hmm, I can only assume I'm not flushing them fast enough. Also, the room around the spawner should be 8x8 right?

The room i use is a 9x9x8 high, with the spawner floating in the middle, just make sure its completely dark and your as close as possible to the spawner so that it produces zombies. It also could be a performance/lag issue, i know that after a certain amount of time more mobs are produced than the computer can handle leading to a slow down in output.

If your going to name your chickens you should keep records on parents and genealogy, you might find a trend that some of your best chickens come from the same family. With enough work and selective breeding you could produce a race of super chickens.

posted a message on Is trapping an Enderdragon in a Minecart possible?
    Quote from Lava Bucket

IF what you say is true, it should be possible with a fishing rod. Cast the fishing rod at the dragon, then go stand beneath your tracks and minecart and reel in. Thats how I got a ghast in my minecart earlier. I am NOT approving this will work. I leave the honor for approving it to you.

This man is a genius, do u have SS of the ghast in the minecart? I want to know if the mine cart scaled up in size or was it just a giant ghast making the minecart disappear lol

    Quote from wells123456

Iron is fairly easy to find, but not to an extent that it will cause mass inflation.
Plus the fact that it is useful means that players won't sell it that quickly, they would most likely hoarde it up and make tools and armour with it.

I guess, and if you implement some sort of a tax system that could really keep your inflation rate to a min, its hard to set up long term economies in games like these w/o some inflation (like the real world lol)

do the minecarts have to be moving on a track or just moving through space in general?

haha that looks awesome, i just wish redstone mechanics were a bit different and allowed for the movement of redstone by pistons w/o destroying it, because then you could make a similar design only turn it upside down and your convyer belt would walk the world O.o

but i really like the used of trap doors + fences great idea

Pinning your currency to a item as common as iron will only lead to mass inflation, the amount of iron being used up is a small fraction of what players can pull in leading to a lot of currency being dumped into the market devaluing it fairly quickly. You may be able to know exactly how much your iron is worth but not the true value of the coin being used.
