Make sure your bed is at least one space away from any walls, as there's a common glitch where mobs wake you up if your bed is against a wall.

Lapis Lazuli blocks? Gold blocks? So you are saying that, to be prosperous, a new player would have to fight past hordes of super powerful, over expanded players to create a mine just to GET the resources to start their territory. Any new player could easily be decimated by a longer playing person, as the more experienced one would have a massive area to garner resources within and would most likely be prepared.

We'd have a s*it-ton of terrible threads clogging up the forums, with things like "WHAT WILL TEY DROOP?" and "THEY SHUDNT BE IN MIENCRAFT THEY RUUN MEH GAEM WAAH"

Personally, I think that there should just be a sticky thread for mobs so that people stop cramming threads about them every day.

I don't think I know what this thread is really about. I honestly could not understand what OP posted there, it's just a mess of bad spelling, grammar, and capitalization on every word. On the topic of wolves, I don't have any, and I have never had any.

Everyone's got an opinion. You won't get anywhere in life if you get super pissed just because someone else voiced what they thought of something. If you can't keep your anger in check, you probably shouldn't be posting on a forum where people are expressing their opinions. Personally, I don't see much use for tables, but that's because I don't care about decoration, I just make homes that get the job done.

Just make yourself a farm, it really isn't difficult. Besides, where did you hear there would ever be an "Adventure Mode"? The Adventure Update adds a number of changes to Survival, essentially making you "adventure" more. There will most likely NEVER be an "Adventure Mode" so deal with it. Also, I have no doubt that Notch will have hunger mode toggle-able just to appease you whiny few.

That looks like a fairly effective mushroom farm, i have a similar design set up in my own home.

Turning all my diamonds into blocks, then discovering a lava pool that flooded my entire base, burning all my tools and supplies...for some reason I then poured water inside and now I have a mix of obsidian and cobblestone covering the entrance to my base, and I coincidentally lost all of my tools in my death.

Someday, I'll go back and mine it out, get my diamonds back. Someday.
