    Hello, my name is Frogbite 99. I will be doing tutorials for Minecraft. Some of you might know me from my older tutorial post. I sadly had school problems and family issues as well, but now I'm back and ready to continue with these tutorials. Most of my tutorials will be based around beginner modding and then I'll add-on to the tutorials with advanced tutorials later on.

    Modloader Template

    package net.minecraft.src;

    import java.util.Random;

    public class mod_ModloaderTemplate extends BaseMod
    {
             public void load()
             {

             }

             public String getVersion()
             {
              return "1.3.2";
             }

    }

    Available Tutorials
    Simple Block - 1.3.2
    Simple Item - 1.3.2
    Add a block/item to the creative inventory - 1.3.2
    Adding Textures to blocks/items - 1.3.2

    Simple Block

    package net.minecraft.src;
    import java.util.Random;

    public class mod_BlockTutorials extends BaseMod{

    public static final Block blockTutorial = new BlockTutorialBlock(160, 0).setStepSound(Block.soundGrassFootstep).setBlockName("blockTutorial").setHardness(1.3F).setResistance(1F).setLightValue(0.0F);

    public void load()

    {

    blockTutorial.blockIndexInTexture = ModLoader.addOverride("/terrain.png", "/textures/Tutorial Block.png");
    ModLoader.registerBlock(blockTutorial);
    ModLoader.addName(blockTutorial, "Tutorial Block");

    }

    public String getVersion()

    {

    return "Block Tutorials 1.3.2";

    }
    }

    Help
    public static final Block blockTutorial
    - Change "blockTutorial" to what your block name is;
    new BlockTutorialBlock(160, 0)
    - Change "TutorialBlock" to what the class name of your block is;
    (160, 0)
    - "160" That is your block ID number
    .setStepSound(Block.soundGrassFootstep)
    - "Block.soundGrassFootstep" Change this to whatever sound you want for your block, when it is stepped onto.
    .setHardness(1.3F)
    - That is the hardness of your block when hitting it
    .setResistance(1F)
    - This is how strong it is against TNT or Creepers

    Thanks for the tutorials, they (and you, in the process) helped me start with Minecraft modding.
    Just a question, though. Can you put a tutorial on how to set up a new EnumToolMaterials.java file? (Like, for example, "EnumTools<Mod>.java") I have found out that, with all my mods installed, I cannot edit the EnumToolMaterials.java since it is a base file.
    Everytime I TRY to make a custom EnumTools, though, I get this error.
    required: int,EnumToolMaterial
    found: int,EnumKoLMod
    reason: actual argument EnumKoLMod cannot be converted to EnumToolMaterial by me
    thod invocation conversion

    I used to know this as Modloader used to support this but sense it doesn't anymore I have to find a new way around it. I will pm you when I find how to

    To those with Modloader question - you need to restart everything including your mods. I am sorry there is quite some errors with Modloader so it is hard to fix these multiple errors.

    To those saying "screw you notch" - I am sorry I will not accept that on my tutorial page. In fact it is not notch's fault. Modding support will be added soon, just whenever notch fixes everything that needs to be fixed.

    Back to what I need to say

    Please Pm your questions to me. Seeing it is hard looking at multiple questions. If you wish to have to question answered private message me.
