Nice improvements. He actually looks eerie and scary with all the textures, so if I saw that at night I'd be beaming straight to my house.
Also, does Godzilla take pedicures? He needs one for those feet/hands. I won't take one, though.
Do everything ProvenBeat said to do afterwards and I'd say he looks better than how he did in the movie.

The day has come, when I have to play the worst Godzilla game ever created (as others say)...

When I started the game, I thought it was the most underrated thing ever. The menu's weren't that bad, so I thought it'd be another Godzilla Unleashed where the game as a whole is pretty bad, but at least it was fun.
So I go to select a character and… Zilla?! SERIOUSLY?! Zilla?! That gave me the impression that I was actually FIGHTING Godzilla and not playing as him, because there'd be Easy Mode and then there'd be "You'll Never Beat This" Mode. Take a guess of what difficulty Zilla and Godzilla are assigned to. So I decided I'd chose Godzilla… I started up the game and...




ARE YOU SERIOUS?! That is what the game looks like?! After a mediocre intro, THIS is what I get? Good grief, this is the worst looking Godzilla game by far. Texture quality is so poor that I'd dare compare it to Superman 64 (rhyme). At least Godzilla looks okay. The gameplay is just… sluggish and in a bad way. I've seen other good games like EarthBound have slow pacing, but still be incredible journeys straight into Nightmare-Fuel-For-A-Final-Boss, but this game doesn't even have bosses. Godzilla walks at a snails pace and he's the only okay-looking model in the entire game. It's a nightmare. I know graphics don't make up for a game but when I can't tell if that building on the ground there is something I've already destroyed or if it was just slapped on there as a jpeg. then you have a problem!
I decided I'd move on from the ugly graphics and get to the game now, and the game is HORRENDOUS! All you do is walk around the same two stages endlessly using your atomic breath on buildings since punches and tail swipes are hard to animate for a "fully fledged" game. Everything is wrong with this game, everything. It gets so repetitive that I can't even see myself playing through the entire thing. Top that on with bad controls and the worst camera ever and you'll burn the game publicly and pray that Mothra won't kill you because you actually purchased this thing.
Let's talk about the stages. Day and Night. They're awful. They are pretty big for Godzilla's slow walking and they are so empty that you'll find yourself walking around trying to find buildings to smash. Seriously, the only things in this game are buildings and Godzilla. That's it. No military, no giant pancakes with atomic syrup to eat, no kaiju fights, nothing! That's huge wasted potential!
Also, trees explode… Trees explode when you walk on them.
That's it, I can't play this game any more.

This game is disgusting. It disgraces Godzilla's name by the very beginning. I think it was a rushed title, simply because there are Kaiju in the game that you can unlock as secret characters, but they all play the same as Godzilla - which makes me think that originally the game would have Godzilla smashing buildings and stuff before a Kaiju came and attacked him… but released early to catch up with the Dreamcast/The Zilla Movie. If you all thought Sonic 06 was the worst rushed title ever, you have never played this game.



This game/movie was so bad, it beat Godzilla so hard he couldn't get up. Shame on this abomination for doing such crimes on Godzilla/Godzilla Fans alike.

Welp, I finally did it. I finally played Godzilla: Generations.
darkhax, if you do not appreciate me putting this on the topic, I will move it to a separate one in the Off-Topic forum. Although I don't quite get why this isn't topic-relevant since it's Godzilla.

Any way, next up I'm going to play the game's sequel: Godzilla Generations Maximum Impact! I hear by fans that this one is way better, and critics bash it because they got paid to do so when someone was releasing an on-rail shooter later that year.

Reminder: Original Gigan was fighting Showa Godzilla, which is considered to be one of the weaker Godzilla's. Super-Cool-Gigan-Of-Awesome was fighting Final Godzilla, whom was already going on a MASSIVE killing spree.

While I appreciate your effort, I do feel that erasing some of the posts was not necessary. Erasing the main problem starter and editing out any parts related to the argument would've been a much smarter decision in my eyes.

I think he really should. I compared Heisei Godzilla's strength to his - and he's nothing. Burning Godzilla, sure he might be a good match… but Super Godzilla would still destroy him and mount his skull on his wall.
Like I said, Super Godzilla has extreme power. Burning Godzilla couldn't take out Destoroyah nor a city as fast as Bagan would be capable of doing (as shown in game, Bagan destroys Tokyo in four attacks when he wasn't even born yet) and if Super Godzilla matches Bagan in power, he makes Burning Godzilla look like nothing (in strength). The only thing that would be able to really do something major to Super Godzilla (other than Bagan) would be Burning Godzilla's Meltdown.
Or… we could just make Super Burning Godzilla… I didn't like the Universe any way… it's too big.
Any way, Burning Godzilla is no where near as powerful as Super Godzilla. He might emit powerful radiation and have meltdown, but other than that he has nothing on Super Godzilla. But I do appreciate you bringing that up.

First off, let's start with Super Godzilla, and before I say this I just want to prove something.

Super Godzilla was not a design stolen from SpaceGodzilla. It was the other way around. The game came out in 1993 when Godzilla VS SpaceGodzilla came out one year later in 1994. Unless Godzilla VS SpaceGodzilla went through directing hell, there is no real way Super Godzilla could've ripped off SpaceGodzilla.

Super Godzilla is an awesome being. He looks a lot like SpaceGodzilla, the crest and the… everything except he's not a big ol' fatty. Proof?



Look at how bulky he gets compared to normal HEISEI GODZILLA. Yeah, the strongest Godzilla looks like a WIMP to him. (Imagine Burning Super Godzilla. The UNIVERSE would just EXPLODE.)

In order to compare how strong Super Godzilla is to normal Heisei Godzilla, we have to see how strong the punch/tail attacks are to Bagan.

Normal Godzilla:

Punch deals 0 Damage to Bagan. Yup.

Tail Attack deals 5 Damage to Bagan. I'm not lying, that's 100% true.

Super Godzilla:

Super Punch deals 8 damage to Bagan. Compare that to 0.

Tail Attack deals 53 damage to Bagan.



So from what we can see, Super Godzilla absolutely destroys normal Godzilla. I would say his 900 HP (from Super Godzilla) would translate into 60,000-90,000 in-game. Same goes for Bagan, since they have equal HP.

Bagan is considered to be just as strong as Super Godzilla, and if you fight Bagan as normal Godzilla, so much as touching him will make Godzilla take HUNDREDS of damage. So we have a super-monster here. (Lots of Super's lately.)

So now that we (probably) know how strong they are, let's talk about their abilities.

If they do stop, either Godzilla will die… or they're leaving them to America, but I sincerely doubt that they'll let Godzilla to us because after all the Box Office failures that Toho had, they still came up strong with another film next year. I don't think I have to remind you of the Showa Era Godzilla's trend of bad movies until they finished with a bang and came back later for more.
I will continue to say that Godzilla 2014 is Zilla 2, but I will stop talking about it on the thread so you do not have to see it. In other words, I'm not changing my opinion - but I'll stop annoying you by voicing it. Hey, you asked nicer than anybody else did - so I'm respecting that. While I do wish Hollywood would JUST STOP with Godzilla, if they can improve with the next movie I'll be on board.

Duuude. That last part was pretty disappointing. I don't care if they keep using CGI, but they're just going to make a bunch of Godzilla 2014 clones over and over again for now on?
