Was wondering if someone was going to do this. I e-mailed Frenden for permission a while back but he never got back to me.
The sandstone you have doesn't match his style at all really. Try to stick to pixel art, and the same colors he uses, you might also look for his other WIP pack for more reference. I think it was called Frenden's Detailed Pack.
Here's the sandstone types that I have for my personal continuation of his pack:
I didn't see your request. I love your work and am totally happy with any additions or alterations you may want to make. The pack is on Github. Literally anyone has permission to use it as a base so long as it is credited properly. No biggie.
Brandon, I'm glad the pack has a second life and wish you success with it!
I just completed around six months of work with Nickelodeon and hope to update this pack a bit, if not fully, soon. Thanks for keeping it alive, any and all who've made edits.I'll have time to play Minecraft again!
With what free time I do have, I've been working on getting a comic book off the ground, learning 3D, and collaborating on other indie game efforts.
My pack is open sourced to allow for others to iterate off of it. I'm trying to be as fair as I can with the rights management, given my inability to work on it right now, by letting anyone else update it as they see fit by forking it on Github.
The other problem is that Minecraft just doesn't interest me as much. I think I've played twice since the rolling out of the official launch. If I played more, I'd be more inclined to work on the pack, likely.
It IS allowed. I posted to the thread over a month ago with a link to the pack on Github where it is hosted opensource. I'll edit the first post to reflect that as well.
Frenden does not like people distributing any type of altered pack unfortunately.
You'll note the pack is open source and has been for some time. I posted several times in this thread saying as much since around the time of the leaked prereleases.
I probably will wait to update until a stable/official release (still on 11-11-11?). All the pre-releases jumbled together and I couldn't keep up with the pace. Work has been busy and, since I work for myself, I have to make it while it's here. :smile.gif:

The above still holds true.
