I've taken that a step further and even formatted my PC. I did not try overclocking though, not willing to do it on a laptop.

Yes, I have allocated 4GB RAM.

I am considering that. This computer has quite the load of problems.

Right click your desktop, and you should see "Configure Switchable Graphics". Locate java and set its Graphics Setting to "High Performance".

Also check your laptop's power plan is not on "Power Saver", but on "High Performance"

I'm playing on a PvP server xd (Sorry forgot to mention that)

And I don't think it has to do with my ping there, cause I have tried using another laptop and no lag.

posted a message on Unstable FPS on Minecraft 1.8, but better FPS on Minecraft 1.7?

Recently I've been playing on 1.8 instead, and I've noticed that Minecraft lags more despite me installing Optifine already. The way it lags is also very odd, Minecraft often drops FPS when I draw back a bow, punch instantly breaking blocks (grass, sugar canes), when I get set on fire, and when I get hit by another player. Sometimes it would lag despite literally NOTHING happening too. Another odd thing is that no matter what render distance I put (between 2-16) there is absolutely no difference in FPS, just the same laggy 5-70 FPS.

I've also tried formatting my computer (yes I went that far), and that made no difference. Installed all the latest drivers and have tried all versions of Optifine. And yes, of coarse, I've tried putting all my settings to low, no difference. I've also tried setting my power to "High Performance", no difference...

So in case specs matter, here they are (but still keep in mind that my system runs 1.7 relatively fine):

    Processor: AMD A10 5750M

RAM: 8 GB (4GB dedicated to Minecraft)

    GPU: AMD Radeon 8970M

So yes it is a laptop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

posted a message on Server lag how to reduce?

Somehow, players which join my Hamachi server (at this time) have very little or no lag. That is just odd.

However, players which join my port-ranged server experience more lag.

posted a message on Server lag how to reduce?

I have pitiful as hell internet speeds, but yet somehow, I was able to host with no lag (about last year), but now is a different story, players can't even move in my server 0_o

    Speeds: (YES IT IS TERRIBLE)

    Download 4.00 Mbps

    Upload: 0.22 Mbps

For the server I have a separate computer with an i5 and 4GB ram totally dedicated, so nothing to do with my PC.

Anyway to reduce the amount of lag WITHOUT upgrading my internet service, cause currently in my area, this is literally the best package there is. Any tips would greatly be appreciated, thanks.
