When installed the full mod (13.2), the game takes ages to load the chunks. Actually, it does not load the chunks except if I go near them. It's like playing with tiny drawn distance, but without fog.

    Other mods installed :
-Modloader (I tried the Wildgrass with separated texture files)
    -Bettergrass
    -Somnia
    -Zan Minimap

If I try the mod without mods, I have the same problem.

That's just a side effect of wildgrass, its a bit of a compromise if you want grass. You can kinda get the game to speed up chunk generation by hitting escape when looking in the direction of the missing chunks and letting the game do a autosave dealo.

Did you use the default non modloader version of BetterGrass? What are the other two mods?

    A bug to report.

When using biomepack it takes much longer to mine stone and coal and whatnot. I know it's not a compatibility error because it stopped taking so long to mine after i turned off biomepack.

Ah I had that happen but didn't know which mod was behind it, mystery solved!

I don't think so, but it could just be that since there is more to render, it is slower to render the far stuff.

Is it possible that some entity in teh main minecraft engine is dealing with the additional gras textures, which have alphas i'm assuming like tree leaves on Fancy rendering adn that this notch has some sort of memory allocation algorithm that compensates for this by prioritizing near objects and sacrificing far objects depending on load of near objects? Near grass has triggered this.

Still i love your mod, but it just noticeably reduces my view distance :sad.gif:

The best way to deal with this issue is to look in each direction that isn't fully loading and hit escape this usually speeds up the chunk generation, of course if you are traveling and not staying in one general area it can't really be avoided. And yes your theory sounds about right, not sure as I am no expert but it makes sense.

I don't wanna irritate anyone but does anyone know if the biome water has been fixed? I had it in previous minecraft versions but now it just looks like plain old water :/

Nope still won't work, hasn't worked since 1.3_01 I reckon.

Using texture packs right, I'd need to edit the texture packs' particle.png so that the rain and water is in greyscale to make this work? Because it seems to work using the default textures but not when using for instance JohnSmith's or Dokucraft?

Wait so I am running Modloader, HD Patcher & Bettergrass w/cn.class for modloader compatibility, what files of this mod do I need to have this working without issues?

Ok then I take it I just need to use the cn.class that's in the BetterGrass Modloader Compat folder?

Hey stupid question, and YES i did read the wiki first.

This mod, is not compatible whit moad loader? i did no get what was explained in the wiki >.<

It should be compatible with Modloader as I was using it with it, the only thing that definitely isn't is Optimie which I believe still applies to the latest one.

Pretty sure there is an issue with the 0.3.2 version because like others on a clean .jar except modloader of course it gives a black screen. The previous version was working fine with a plethora of mods installed so this may infact not be a case of people not doing it correctly or getting confused by the way in which the mod comes packaged(it is a bit odd tbh)

I'm not having any problems running it. :smile.gif: I did this in the following order:

    1. Got Vanilla Minecraft 1.5_01
    2. Patched it with the HD patcher.
    3. Installed Modloader.
    4. Installed Optimine.
    5. Installed Millionaire.
    6. Installed CJB's Mods.

And no black screens. Game runs perfectly fine.

I think I may have worked it out, see with the previous version of Millenaire I was not making use of modloaders ability to load things straight from a .zip and I was manually adding the files from the millenaire.zip. It worked so that's how I initially installed 0.3.2 yet was met with a black screen. Simply putting the millenaire.zip in the mod folder and bam it works.

Well kinda, I am getting the game killing itself when I try to initiate trade but it does work.

Any ideas on what the reason the biome water portion of the BiomePack doesn't work in 1.5? No rush just interested if any progress was made and not just because its one of the best enhancements to Minecraft!

posted a message on Advanced GL = Lag
Aren't Ati cards better designed for OpenGL? Maybe that is the explanation.

Ok maybe not, I am running a HD6970 and with OpenGL on I get roughly 286fps while looking straight down after chunk generation. Off and it hits close to 430fps. Despite this during normal game play the difference in fps is roughly 20 or 30 which when you are already hitting triple digits is meaningless.
