I've been working on a texture pack myself... but I don't think I'll ever come to finishing it.
I'd love to donate what few textures I have to this however!

Oh sweet! I asked for a Spiral Knights pack before! This is pretty cool.
Although, I wonder why you didn't use those transparentish bombs? That would have been much cooler.

Ahh.. Well its pretty fun once you get into it a little farther than that, but I would love to see a Spiral Knights pack. It'd be cool :tongue.gif:

It does for the defaults using "nearest neighbor" when re-sizing. Most others create a feint edge that throws off the dimensions (to the eye mostly) in my experience and possibly due to them being above 16x16 pixels. So any default image should be easily scalable.

Note that some images can be scaled and used at a higher size (mobs, items...to name a couple) for better detail. Some don't like totally realistic mobs in a more "pixelated" pack however.

See, I'm asking because I plan on making a texture pack myself someday, and I think I finally have the inspiration for it and I want it to be a 32x texture pack... So I'm trying to get a good feel for all the work I'm going to need to do.

Does the same process count for everything? Mobs, Armor, Paintings, etc?

This idea isn't needed, at all. It is completely irrelevant to what Minecraft is about.

Then enlighten me. What is Minecraft "about"?

What happens if you put a torch on one side of the block when it's dark out? Would one side be bright and the other side be black?

Or would you have to build a dual layer of blocks?

Yes. It takes the color of the brightest light that hits it.
So if you line the inside of the construct with a different material, you should be fine!

Alright I'm done... I'm just compiling it now...
Look at my mod section in a bit!

You have the colors backwards! It should be purple/black in no light, and Blue/Green in bright!
    Simple fix, right?

If this is a mod... why is it in the suggestions forums... shouldn't the mods have moved this a long time ago?

Because it's not yet released. It's still in development and not even at the point of open testing.
