Feb 23, 2011I've looked on canyouseeme.org to check if my ports are open and not even port 80 is open.Posted in: Server Support and Administration
It keeps telling me that there is no route to host and i dont know what that means, so if you could tell me how to do fix I would greatly appraciate it, thanks.
Feb 6, 2011Ok, so I recently got a solution on my previous post of a server problem that I was having. (post found here:http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=169791)Posted in: Server Support and Administration
I'm using a separate computer as my server computer, and I'm trying to join that server on my gaming computer. I can join using the server computer's LAN IP, but when I try to use my network IP, it refuses connection. I even talked to a friend over skype to see if he could join, but he couldn't.
What am I doing wrong?
Feb 6, 2011Oh wow. I just added the Minecraft port number as an exception to the firewall on the server computer and it works now! Thank you so much, I really appreciate your help on this issue.Posted in: Server Support and Administration
Feb 6, 2011Well, I just tried connecting via the the LAN IP and it tells me that the connection has timed out.Posted in: Server Support and Administration
I have the server up and running on one computer and I'm trying to connect to it from another computer.
Feb 6, 2011Ok, so i recently got an extra computer for use as a dedicated server for Minecraft. The problem with that is, i can connect to the server with the local IP (the same IP I use to forward the ports) but i cant use the network IP that my ISP gives me.Posted in: Server Support and Administration
I have done all the steps I need to do in order to run a server: download the server program, found my IP (all the different ones i need) forwarded the port onto the dedicated server computer, and tried to connect to it.
If you can help me resolve my problem, i would greatly appreciate it.
