I have a sort of 'tick lag' on my bigger singleplayer worlds and don't really know how to go about fixing it. Here's a video example of what I mean:
The first world shows a redstone timer working in a sort of slow-mo, and the second shows the same timer working at normal speed. My FPS is fine, but I can hit a sheep and then run a circle around it before it hits the ground, and pressure plate doors and other redstone circuitry works at half speed.
Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this problem when it seems to be on a per-world basis?
I'm sure you could release the textures you made as a separate download and it wouldn't be a problem. Especially considering the status of this pack is up in the air.
Curious, are you going to make some animations or textures with the new block modeling system? (3d rails, furnaces with depth to them, etc)? Or would that interfere with the animating? Either way, eagerly awaiting the 1.8 release!
I died due to lag while riding around on my horse in my survival world and using MCedit, have been trying to find my stuff. I didn't have a whole lot on me, but it shouldn't have despawned and I can't find it. I moved around a little bit with MCedit but it was less than five minutes in real time, for sure.
Is there a way I can track my stuff down? My horse is still alive I think, is there something I can use to 'search' for its name? Or is there a way to search for certain entities floating around in my world?
I had a Lead and a Sharpness IV, Unbreaking II sword as well, would those rather unique items make the search easier?
Great tool for modding, but I have a problem hopefully someone can help me with.
Okay, so I made Vodka an item, gave it a texture and everything, but when I install the mod, it defaults to the unused quiver texture built into the game and doesn't act as a food item (no right click action). What did I do wrong?
when u download it do i do %appdata% im so stuck help me plz
Download MCpatcher-that's an easy way to install a decent amount of mods. Then once you download that, simply open it, click the plus sign, add TMI to your .jar file by selecting it and clicking OK, then patch your game by clicking the patch button.
This mod got tottaly crushed, threwn at a recycle bin, eaten by recycling machines BECAUSE OF:
NEI (Not Enough Items)
All hail the better TMI!!!
There are MOD fanboys now? That's just sad-and poorly structured grammatically.
I don't see an NEI update for snapshots, so I prefer TMI. I also don't run mods aside from TMI usually so it works for me and my purposes. I'm just a little sad that the newest snapshot isn't out yet (first world problem I know, it just came out and 1.3 is coming soon so Mar might not even update it until then, but still)
...to which I say...wow I'm a moron...see, I only use my own simple texture pack, and that one I install with MCpatcher like it's a mod...sooo I did the same thing with yours. It made sense to me-.properties files I figured HAD to be installed like a mod...nope, I just don't know what I'm doing. Added it to the texture pack folder and instantly got blueish stars (as opposed to the white stars in vanilla MC) and the galaxy/nebula/thing in the sky. Really sorry for the waste of time...
EDIT: In my own defense though, I edited the splash text and in order to change that you do have to treat it like a mod.
@FlameSama1
That didn't really answer my question.
As for turning one of my files pitch black, that depends on the blend method used. If the blend is set to add, screen, or dodge, it won't do anything. You can't use those blend modes with black, you can however use it with multiplication and replace. Also you don't specify which file. All skyboxes require TWO files, the png and the properties.
I did answer your question. I said I never saw any nebulae at night, just stars, and my understanding is that the nebula would be a nightly in-game occurrence. So since I didn't, I assume your skyboxes didn't work. (Looking back at that post, I made a typo and it changed the meaning of what I was trying to say-so my bad on that one...)
I used replace and it didn't take.
Not sure what you mean by specifying which file, in regards to what? I used two files in every attempt at making a skybox or adding one thus far.

There's no way to search for specific entities or mobs? And I don't think the game was open five minutes (the time needed for gubs to despawn).
That's wrong. I left the game once and pulled up MCedit and found where I died. All my stuff was right where it fell. That was a separate time though.

You have me confused for a second there. You only put the new items in the 512x version.
