    Sorry it took so long to get back. F3 shows correct biomes as expected. It was one of the first things I checked because of the rtg.config I needed to create to accommodate abbysalcraft bop and ars magica. I did what you suggested with a bit of a twist because I had already deleted the ruins txt file beforehand to let it repopulate; I started a new seed with ruins.txt regenerating and with the generic folder completely empty of biome specific templates. I'm getting mostly favorable spawns. For aome reason rtg seems to be taking everything in the generic folder amd sticking them wherever.

    I deleted it and let it repopulate that day I was trying to figure it all out, I also tried changing the scattering to false in the rtg config files. Guess I should mention I'm using biome tweaker to get BOP, Ars magica, Abyssalcraft to spawn biomes together. That was loads of fun to get that config set up correctly but it had amazing results. Anyway, rambling..


    It isnt excepting only water/sand/biome restriction in the template config as even one block of the correct item was causing the template to generate in completely the wrong biome, eg sand strictures ahowing up in ice plains at one point, nether and end structures in forests and plains and anywhere else it could find a spot. I wasn't getting anything to show up from their biome specific folder so I had copied templates back into the generic folder (it's pretty much empty otherwise). I'll attempt it all again, maybe I missed a step somewhere along the way, who knows, I'm simply hoping someone pops in that's using rtg and ruims successfully together because the vistas that now spawn are simply a joy to explore. And I need my ruins to complete that.

    I've poked around, google-fu'd for the past few days and haven't found anything on my particular issue so maybe one of you might be able to shed light.


    My boyfriend and I play on private server run on his machine and we just included RTG (realistic terrain generation) to our mod order. (Mc 1.10.2 btw) well ruins has always been run pretty much at default config so we were really surprised to see gilly's town houses and such show up in deserts all of a sudden. Turned out riuins were only apawning from the generic folder so upom adding a few from the desert/ocean and forests found those spawning everywhere as well! Question is, how do we fix this. Having sunken ships and sphynx show up in the wrong biomes kind of ruins the exploration aspect. We did manage to lower the spawns by drastically reducing from default (1/2/1) so now we are not coming across ruins every 10 steps, yes literally haha.


    Somehow, RTG is not recognizing the biomes restrictions of the ruins files or the folder structure so right now its an all or nothing and that kinda makes me sad. Ive been playing with ruins installed for literally years and want to enjoy it with rtg but I sont know how to make them play nice together. I haven't tried turning off the structure scattering mechanic within rtg as of yet, I was not sure if it messed with ruins or not. It only mentions having to deal with vanilla structures.

    Did you check to make sure you didn't accidentally hide it? I don't remember the hotkey for it but check the settings. I've done that before; felt so silly afterwards.

    Did you also make sure to add the Resources folder to your mod folder? (I made that mistake once myself >.<)

    I use Chrome and I can disable the extensions on the fly so I can wrangle my way through Adflys mess. I can't find Biomes O'plenty download without them on, because the link hides between two massive ads that try to download malware. And now with what they use, I can't go to the site with adblockers on.

    I whitelist sites that I want to support, I can't afford to Patreon anyone. So those who have ads that aren't crazy with malware I do whitelist,

    That said, Ublock Origins (Formerly Adblock Pro because I didn't change anything) still hits the Adfly wall. It's still showing up in my extensions as Adblock Pro, but hovering over the icon shows the new thing. >.<

    All three versions of adblock. Which works against just about everything nasty except adfly, haha.

    I've never heard of those. >.< If it works I'll gladly add it to my arsenal against invasive ads.

    I've had to disable all three of my adblocks to access any mod I need to update. It's gotten ridiculous how many nasty ads are on that site. If you don't disable adblock it takes you to a spam site and sometimes I've had to shut down my chrome from task manager it locked it up so badly. I wish people would move away from adfly. I use adblock to keep from getting pop up websites, malicious malware and other such things. Being forced to wade into dangerous waters is something I only do for a few mods nowdays.

    Hiya! Loving the updates, but it seems that the player heads showing up on minimap isn't working for LAN games. Using version 1.9 for 1.8. (Optifine 1.8 HD U H5)


    Maybe I'm just misunderstanding. I dunno :3

    It certainly does work. Otherwise I'm imagining things. If you're using shaders and optifine, try removing shaders/updating everything or just plain removing the shaders. I had a white screen when shaders wasn't updated a few versions of optifine/forge back.

    Just go into the *resource folders for the mod and remove the files that you don't want to spawn.

    Well it says it is trying to set an invalid "level" value on a Cauldron block. I dont think any of my ruins have cauldrons. Your actual log (not crashlog) should tell you which template was being attempted to spawn.


    I forgot to respond when I saw this last night before work >.< I'll have to see if I can recreate it, The log had already been rewritten by the time I posted here in an attempt to get a seed up. It'll either be Gilly's or Jordans; no big deal; I'm just not sure what to look for when I figure out which one it is.
