This is not the correct section to ask about which host you should pick. Please post your needs in Hosting Requests where other hosts can offer you deals.
This section is for anyone to post about their hosting company. Anyone is able to post here and because of this we cannot provide any verification that they are a legitimate business.
If you deal with a host in this section it is at your own risk, we do not provide any assurances that you will receive the service you pay for.
Use of that section is at your own risk, we most likely will never force applications because that just creates even more work on our part, and implies that we have vetted the host, which we haven't.
This is not the correct place for such a discussion. In fact, this discussion should not happen at all on the forums. Please take up your issues with Beastnode support.
As always, opinions and decisions can be swayed. The consideration of colocation has been planted in my brain now, thank you, and when I do get around to it I may consider it.
Using a residential connection to host a server is a good way to anger your ISP and end up with throttled bandwidth or excessive charges on your bill. That, or they will just drop your connection immediately.
Colo it. I don't know any locations myself, but I'm sure some of these other hosts can help with that.
Please do not create topics asking which host you should pick, or which host out of a selected few is the best. Additionally, asking if a particular is or is not a host is not allowed.
If a host seems to good to be true then it is. There is no such thing as downloading a server, and if your anti-virus is flagging the site then trust it.
This section is not for comparing which host is the best. There are other sites that you can use to do research, or you can make a topic inHosting Requests with the things you are looking for.
This section is not for discussion about specific hosts and if what they are offering is normal or worth it.
If you are having trouble with a server you own please contact your host's support on their site. We are not here to offer host specific support. If you re looking for a new host to move to please check out the other hosting sub forums here, and if you want to make a request it can be done in 'Hosting Requests.'
Never, ever, use password authentication when key-based authentication is available. If you're doing credit card processing on-site, the PCI standard does not allow password-based system, such as FTP (SFTP being the alternative), to even be installed on the system.
Excellent point. Even for non-PCI systems this is a good idea. Also disable the root account and non-key logins.
WHMCS and Multicraft both use MD5-based hashing systems. -snip-
Yes, sometimes there are not options. However, whenever possible make sure you are using the best methods you can. Push the developers to implement better systems, or, if possible, implement such systems yourself.

— A note to users -- what are "other hosts"

You can run Bukkit/Spigot just fine on 512MB. 128MB is enough for 2 players to play comfortably.

This section is not meant for such things.

Nope, I meant SSH based Two-Factor auth. Check out https://www.duosecurity.com/unix
