    Eventually the game freezes after going in the town hall and I get cannot update errors row after row in the chat window.

    Yes, what language are you running it in? Those are all language errors.

    It has to do with a quest not working. Try reinstall.

    Also, after attempting to change the radius of agricultural hamlets, the hamlet I wanted to increase in size turned into an ecclesiastical village, so they started building an abbey.

    Still not sure what happened, but it was fun.

    Just keep searching! Eventually you'll find the Sadhu! It's a giant tree, and only spawns in forests, NOT tundras.
