A lot of the designs got used in mods, but they were all originally my design.

Feb 10, 2015Haha, yeah. I got nostalgic!Posted in: Mods Discussion
I'll have to try to get an old computer online, but it gives me the opportunity to get all the old images that are now broken uploaded and updated!
I'll get them up as soon as I can!
What's the mod?
Oct 2, 2011Here is a complete, and constantly updated list of my mod ideas. I opted to use this method to create an entry in this section as opposed to copying each thread over. It seemed like it would be more courteous as I would push every other idea into oblivion! Please, provide suggestion specific comments to the actual suggestion thread, and only post actual modding interest and info to this thread. (At the moment, there are a few omitted since I haven't created mini icons for them. They are coming soon!)Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
If you have created a mod using one of my ideas, and I fail to link it in this thread, please let me know by a post or a pm and I will correct the error!
Moa ---> Aether Mod
Aerwhale ---> Aether Mod
Grove Sprite ---> Kodaichi's Grove Sprite Mod
Zephyr ---> Aether Mod
If you have any interest in working on a mod involving any of these designs, please feel free! Just include a link to the mod in this thread, and please credit the source! I would like to eventually compile a complete mod including all these creatures! Anyone interested in assisting should let me know!
I will eventually be adding Techne models and the source textures! More to come!

What program do u use to make these models? They all look really good xD
Perhaps give the fire sprites some kinda glowing eyes though? That might look even cooler.
3D Studio Max, it's just a bunch of cleverly arranged boxes.
I made a version with glowing eyes, but I preferred the dead burnt out ones!

I like this allot, although this seems more like an overhaul of the current squid then a new mob (similar models and all.) If they both produce ink and both are so similar in shape why not replace the current one with this?
Definitely a possibility. This idea will likely receive a revamp. It was posted before the squid was released (way before) and now is somewhat obsolete.

Very wrong. I'm asking people to try!
My pack, Resonance!, is my very first attempt at texturing anything Minecraft related, hell, my first attempt at pixel art. I tried. :tongue.gif:
Perhaps, but if you simply wanted people to try then you would also target this against people who put out blurry "high rez" packs that look like they just kind of threw a bunch of stuff into photoshop and applied a blur filter to make it tile better. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against people trying to do better, and I'm no fan of a grey square with three red dots in it for redstone. I just think that there are a lot of people trying to make texture packs with no real skill, but they have to fail before they can know what not to do. Just because they fail trying to make a pack with fewer colors doesn't mean they're failure is worse than someone who tried to make a pack with a lot of colors, and failed.
Sep 19, 2011I think I agree with the idea behind this thread, and I do tend to dislike the all too common overly simplified texture packs. However, for every crappy Simple Pack/Frenden's Cartoon Pack knock off I see, there is a terrifically hideous over detailed, no attention to color dynamics 128x128 pack on the forum.Posted in: Resource Packs
I think that what you're really asking for is for people to not make a texture pack attempt unless they're good at making texture packs. This would probably result in a lot less texture packs, which may be a good thing. But I know that every texture pack that I've hated, and there are MANY, there have been a lot of people saying they liked it... so I guess it's hard to really say that everyone shouldn't throw their hat into the ring.
Bleh, whatever. It doesn't really matter. I'm a bit of a minimalist when it comes to the art I make with this game in mind, so I guess I'm biased :wink.gif:
It don't matter none.
