    ——IGN:
    Anithermo

——How long have you played Minecraft?
I have been playing Minecraft since October 16, 2010.

——What do you enjoy doing most in Minecraft?
I enjoy a plethora of things. I mostly enjoy Creative mode, but I am perfectly content with playing Survival. On that note, I enjoy hunting mobs, mining, spelunking, and exploring in general. However, the thing I enjoy most in Minecraft is sharing these experiences with other people. That is why singleplayer has recently lost its appeal to me, and why I play multiplayer almost exclusively now.

——Why do you want to join the server?
I would like to join this server because I have been on a multiplayer hiatus for roughly a year now, and I am looking to reconnect with a community. I played on another big server back in 2011 (that server is long gone) and it was easily the greatest Minecraft experience I ever had. That was mainly due to the community—the multiplayer experience. That server also had a TeamSpeak, so joining this server (if my whitelist application is accepted) will have a bit of sentimental value to me.

    ——How will you contribute?
I am a person who is willing to try new things and experiences, and I am not one to stick with doing only one thing, so at this time, I am unable to fully and confidently answer this question. My best and most definite answer right now is that I will be an engaging member of the server's community. Even if I seem busy on the server—mining, hunting, what have you—I am always open to chat. Additionally, keep in mind that if I am on the server, I am also on the TeamSpeak. Other than that, I will just have to see where my experiences take me.

    ——How much will you play?
I will play at least once a day, for a minimum of an hour. This of course is subject to change with or without notice.

——Things I would like to add:
I am 20 years old. I love meeting new people, as was implied in my Why do you want to join the server? response. I was a moderator on that now-dead server I mentioned earlier and an admin on a Classic server way back in 2010. Finally, I hope my comparatively vague How will you contribute? answer is not a deal-breaker.

    Thanks for the opportunity,
    FireMetal / Anithermo

    IGN: Anithermo

I have about 5 server's worth of mod/admin experience. I build utilizing the extra materials and methods made available to me by Tekkit. I am a moderately-skilled builder, but I'm always looking to better myself. Additionally, the last Tekkit server I applied to seems to have disappeared mysteriously, so I'm hoping this one will stay up much longer.

I highly doubt any of you remember me, but my name is Anithermo. I used to play on the old SugarBros server. That server was the very first SMP server I had ever joined.

For the past year, I've been jumping across creative/freebuild servers, which I am now more aquainted to. However, I'll always be happy to drop in for some good ol' survival.

Added, and, I couldnt even read the whole response, it was too big for google docs ._.

To everyone who has applied, If you are still not on the whitelist, either I derped, or you were denied and need to apply again.

Lolololol. Too big for Google Docs, what is this madness? They have hundreds of thousands of servers all across the globe, and yet it can't display an extended whitelist application?

Well, then again, those servers are mostly for the search engine...

    Anyway:

    Tell us about yourself.

    Warning: Long read.
Eh... I'm a very tolerant, lenient, easy-going person. I firmly believe in giving people multiple chances, as we all have the ability to learn from mistakes, and we should be allowed to do so.
I'm also very logical, and I know that judgment is better made in sound mind than one plagued by emotions. If only other people shared this same philosophy...
Admittedly, I can be a bit of a smartass at times, but it's (more often than not) for the lolz.
Despite what I've said about being easy-going, I won't hesitate to take the necessary action if and when the situation calls for it.
I'm semi-loyal to any given server. (I.e., I'll visit other servers if the server in question is down, or in a similar dilemma; or if someone invites me to another server, which I'll probably visit for 5 minutes and then return to this one) It's near-impossible to stay 100% loyal to any server, as someone will always log in to another server they haven't been on in a long time just to say hi and whatnot. Hell, I sometimes log in to CMP servers, because some of my very first Minecraft friends play exclusively on CMP.

What have you built before? Rate your building skill.

    Warning: VERY long read!
I've built a lot of things. I can't build statues that would be shown off in spawn or anything like that, but I can build great modern houses, and I excel in building towers. I detest building castles, forts, or other non-modern structures. Roughly early 20th-century-era architecture is as far back as I'll go, with brick and mortar and the like. I'd prefer to build as modern as possible. However, I'm not very fond of building futuristic structures, but I can be convinced quickly to do so, as I'm eager to learn.
I build in a semi-improv style. This means that I have a general idea of what I'm going to build. I'll sometimes draw up blueprints, but I'll most likely make last-minute changes due to reasons including, but not limited to:
    1. Space constraints
    2. Height limits
    3. Creative-mode availability
    4. New block types
    5. Feedback from other players
I believe that, given the time, a player can go from building dirt huts to building cathedrals. I was always good at designing houses, but I rarely used more than one or two materials, mainly wood and logs. My houses were an eyesore. Now, I have come a long way and have greatly improved my building skills. As always, I'm seeking to improve them further.
On a side note, I'm one of the players that believe that diamond isn't an ugly building material. If used wisely, it will greatly enhance the essence of the building. In my opinion, the only less-than-favorable building material is any kind of ore. Seriously, it has no blending texture with anything.
And you know what? So what if a building is hindered by poor material choices? The only thing that matters is that the builder put their best effort to creating what they saw fit to create, even if it only looks good in their eyes. (Or their texture pack) In real life, gold ore looks absolutely beautiful, like sparkling limestone. (Contrary to what you might think, it doesn't look gold at all. This is because of the particle size) Also, if someone wants to use jack-o-lanterns as their source of light, let them. After all, it makes for a far better lamp than lightstone.
In the end, I don't think that someone's building skill should determine their experience on a server. The only thing that matters is the people that play on the servers. You can be just as creative (if not more so) on a singleplayer map, but player interaction is what gives multiplayer its shining essence.
So what if they're not a good builder? If they're fun to be around, it doesn't matter. All that's important is enjoying each other's company.

    ...phew.

    Anithermo here.

Just applied for whitelist. I think Mrey will have fun reading my extensive response to the questions. :wink.gif:

I have my response copied to a Word document. I can copy it here if anyone wants to read it. BAHAHAHA yeah right...

I'm at what is probably the most boring time of my life. All I have is my dad's work laptop. I don't even have my freaking guitar! D:
Last time, I had my guitar, but no computer. Guitar can only keep me occupied for so long. I was so bored it actually hurt. Imagine how I felt when I didn't have my dad's laptop. D8

Whitelist me quickly, I think I'm losing my mind.

...oh wait, I already was losing it. Never mind.

I still would like to be whitelisted though.

I had just invited an old CMP friend to the server. And now this.

What I want to say has already been said by many, but I would like to say it myself. This is the best goddamn minecraft server that has ever been conceived by the human mind. To say "I will miss it" would be a drastic understatement. This server has provided me the opportunity to meet so many new people and help a plethora of others.

Ever since, I've been on Shaanie's server, but it is nowhere near as responsive as Raddafiskie. No offense to Shaanie, but his server pales in comparison to Radda's.

I would like to tell a story about a time in which I went through a very similar situation.

I lost a server once. It was my CMP home, the glorious Nachocraft. It was the very first minecraft server (CMP or SMP) that I ever joined and stayed. I had walked over to see what these 2 players were building; it was a throne. I complimented the throne, to which one of the players responded—and I'll never forget this moment—"It's for you". That player had not known of my existence prior to me saying anything. Right then did I know that I was accepted into the community.
Acceptance: a word that I knew little of up until that point.
It was on Nachocraft (hereinafter NC) that I, as childish as it sounds, made my very first minecraft friend, all the way from India: kannon_ball. I later met at least 2 dozen other people I came to know and love. We were all one big happy family, just like this server. I idolized Cohdee (the server owner) almost as much as I idolize Raddafiskie. He and Cohdee share a similar trait: Only communicating with the ingame community once in a blue moon. Actually, Cohdee was barely on at all.

I could go on for several paragraphs about the fun times we had on NC: Throned's castles, F22Pilot's erections (by that I mean giant rocket models, but we call them erections) the bitter rivalry between xdarkchrono and onionburst... and the companies. Oh, the companies. Making a company in NC was the equivalent of building a town in Raddafiskie—everyone was doing it. I for one had Anithermo Enterprises. There was Dark Inc., (xdarkchrono) Onion Co. (onionburst) and many others which I cannot recall at the moment. It was the best minecraft experience I'd had at that time.

On one fateful day in mid January, the server crashed and never came back up. I was there when it happened. There was no way to communicate with Cohdee, Throned or DarkestScono (other server superpowers, almost co-owners) as they did not give out their email address, skype, or any other means of communication. Our big happy family was left alone in the dark. This was about the same time that DarkestScono's server, M.I.T. (The Nodeblock equivalent, in terms of "backup server") was shut down. We had nowhere to go. We all faded into the blackness.

So I know what it's like to lose a server. Of the 2 dozen people I knew from NC, I have managed to communicate with only 5 or 6 of them to this day.
However, my experience on Raddafiskie easily tops that of NC. Raddafiskie had something that NC lacked.

Every inch of my soul hopes that this is just a temporary shutdown. I completely understand that Radda might need a few weeks to soak all of this in. But if it ends up being a permanent shutdown, I just wanted to say that I love you all, and I wish only the best for everyone's future.

    Goodbye Raddafiskie.

An excellent creation. The inside especially invokes the free and random thought processes of an alchemist. I do think the study could be a bit more roomy, but outer aesthetics probably prevent. All in all, fantastic.

I have only 4-5 floors to go on my most recent and largest build, my office building. The next 2 or 3 floors will be a repeat of regular office floors. 2nd from the top will be executive offices, followed by restaurant on the top floor. There will also be a stairwell to the roof of the building.

On an unrelated but nonetheless important note, today I will be interviewed for a job to work at my local Apple Store. I'm confident that I'm prepared enough. Here's to hoping all goes well. If I get the job, though, it may or may not interfere with my time on the server. I have no idea what the hours or days are, but I will make sure I can be on the server as much as I can before I must go to my job, if I get it.

    Wish me luck.

It was actually more of an orientation seminar. About 20-30 people were there. I guess the point of it was to let everyone know what working there would be like. They said they'd call us back within a week. Here's to hoping my phone rings!

I am finding the absence of the drop command to be frustrating at most times.

No word in the English language can accurately describe the inconvenience of this. AND IT COMES BACK AFTER YOU DROP IT, ALL 64 OF IT. I often find myself pulling out my hair over this issue.
